Hey all as someone posted in another thread, there are several of us 'troopers' that are going to make a long weekend out of these two concerts.

Yes I'll stop at the Indy CiP for lunch as it was my idea

A stop at the Indy CIP sounds like a fun plan; I have been to the Northside one, but not the southside one.
Which CIP, and approximately when are pholks thinking of stopping in?

Was originally going to do the Cincy show but decided not to. Anyway will be going to Alpine and would be interested in the caravan. Does anyone know which route they plan on taking? There are two ways to get to Alpine From Indy:
1. Take I-65 north to Chicago, take 1-80 then take 1-94 (I think). This would be the shortest way but with Chicago traffic and all the construction they are doing they probably would be a good amount of time spent sitting stopped in Chicago.
2. Take I-74 west to Bloomington IL then pickup I-39 which runs straight into Janesville. Definitely a longer distance (maybe 50 miles) then option 1 but would avoid Chicago traffic.

I figure the first route will get me to Chicago mid to late afternoon on Friday, and I know better than to schedule that!

There is an option #3, which is a variation on #1. Take I-65 north from Indy to I-80/94 west. Then take I-294 (tri-state tollway) around Chicago vs. going through Chicago via I-94 or I-90. You will encounter some construction along that route but not nearly what I-94 and I-90 have going on this summer though Chicago.
