That's just wrong. It is hotter than the hinges of hell in Texas in late August ....
Nobody stirs in Texas in late August, much less stand outside all day waiting for a concert.
breathe breathe breathe - cause if Bubba's in Texas in August ain't nobody gonna be breathing at the tailgate!!!!
Seriously - how many times has the man said he does not like playing Texas in the heat and that's why he always was there in the spring. It's been a long time since he did a summer date in Texas.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.
I hear Feb 26, 27, 28 Jimmy will be in Hawaii, someone told me the 26th will be at the Beachcomber, 27th a concert in Maui and the 28th maybe the shell. Don't know how reliable this info is, just throwing it out there.

I can't even imagine how hot he'd be on the Frisco stage. At Starplex, at least he had some shade ....
Gentilly ... 42 years is a long time to wait .... a Northeast Texas woman can hope.
My love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain.
I sure hope the newbie is funnin' us. I HATE the thought of Gillette. I talked about this today with my co-worker who got me into this and she said they don't want to go at all if it's Gillette. I'd say the same for me until I start seeing who's going and then I know I'll cave.
Please let it be wrong though!

I hear ya Pam, but if my 2 options are Mohegan or Gillette.....I'll be at Gillette....but may consider doing a roadtrip to Raleigh or something like that too.
I vote for Mohegan Sun. Last time the RV parking was free, Gillette cost us 150 bucks!!! I could spend a few days there & listen on Sirius in the lot for free. And then leave the money I saved in the casino...

I will die. I see the need to bring a lot of water if it's in August that's for sure!!

OK everyone relax we have been spoiled since 2000 with Jimmy doing his shows in April here in the Dallas area. Before then he did his shows mostly in September and August. I agree it will be very HOT!!! if the rumor is true. However we will still have a great time at FFF III even the heat will not stop that.
I thinking that Jimmy will announce a June Philly/Camden show in late Feb - early March. Then an AC show that will be tied into the casino change over or renaming during the summer.
Summer 2017-
August 17 ~ Jimmy Buffett, BB&T
August 25 - Jason Aldean/Chris Young, BB&T
Kasey Chambers, City Winery NYC & World Café Philly
Deirks Bentley/Cole Swindel - PNC

On the bright side, if Ozarka donates water again. I bet we would sell out in no time and raise even more money for charity!!!!

True. Forgot about that. Let's assume that he does decide that (yes a stretch), he would probably have to do more nights in Boston definintely.... so I would chalk it up as one of the negatives.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

SURE, PLAY MORE SHOWS, how about the entire month of July

Reminds me of the places I've been.
Visions of good times that brought
so much pleasure
makes me want to go back again."

I won't be there if it's August. Nope. Not even Jimmy Buffett will get me out in the Texas sun for that long in August - pavilion or no pavilion - ice or no ice - golf cart or no golf cart. Will have to listen to it on RM.

Well I guess I'll just have to drive to East Texas to see ya (like I wouldn't be heading that way anyway )

it would take a week of shows to gross what he does 2 days at GW or 1 night at Gillette. I don't think the venue would make money with his cost...and all the expenses that goes with it!!
