sounds like you have found them guilty and are ready to convict them, without benefit of a trial, or a full military investigtion
.

I'm sure the investigation will disclose exactly what has happened and a full accounting will follow..

based on facts assembled...not from the media....or a congressman...

even though they are military, they are innocent until proven guilty

let's not convict them until a fair and impartial trial, even in the military, has convened...

Nope, no judgment on my part, just a wish that whatever is revealed is not long and drawn out, or forgotten. Justice is typically very slow.

Funny how accusations of what a tiny few of our troops might have done to 15 or so people is of more importance, than what the terrorists and bad guys have done to thousands of people, at least to some individuals.

Those who call for Justice to be swift and fair, should be equal in their calls for it.
Either act is equally wrong and heinous.

Swift and fair means only that this matter should be dealt with in this way.

I feel you would have worded your original response ( if you bothered to respond at all) if the US military was not involved.

There is no comparison to this incident and "My Lai". That was 200 people or more.....a whole village. In this case, approximately apparently 24 people or so were killed or murdered. By whom remains to be seen.
If it was done by some of our troops they will be dealt with accordingly. If it was not done by those troops, and they are found innocent, then the media already has set the pattern and for Iraqis and others to have reason to hate the US. The troops are already convicted by many.

You want justice, How do you want it served? No matter what happens, those troops are screwed. I want Justice too and I want it to be Fair and to be blind to all of the rumors and speculation going on. I want Justice to find the Truth and make it/her Judgement based upon the Truth.

Certainly Flyboy and others have made up their mind about them. The media and Murtha certainly have. ( I am not saying or accusing you by any means) Perhaps no investigation is required or neccessary and taking those troops, the sons and loved ones of others, should be taken out and executed and no one ever really knows the answer. No doubt that would please Flyboy and Murtha and no doubt much of the media.
Some civilians were killed /executed/murdered, some Marines were executed....end of story.

Where are Flyboy and Murtha when terrorists intentionally behead people or kill civilians and kids or target mosques or schoolbuses or malls or restaurants?

Is their silence approval of such actions? Why are they only loud about actions of a few of our troops accused of doing wrong?
IF these troops are found guilty of such, so be it, but it will be done by an appropriate court, and not by people against this war and not by the media. No one can accuse all of our troops of such conduct. Not even the majority of our them.

Until we know the full details of the situation, we don't need the inflamatory remarks or the comparisons to the slaughter and destruction of a whole village.
