Another Article on Margaritaville Grand Turk

Post by phjim »

From the Jamaica Observer: "Jardim, Dear invest $260-m in Turks"

Andre Dixon, chief operating officer of Margaritaville noted that the branch in Grand Turk was the company's most challenging and rewarding project to date.

Dixon said that Carnival Cruise had approached Margaritaville to establish an operation at the facility because of the good reputation of service that the company had built up over the ten years of operation.

"We were challenged with our biggest work yet but we were able to open on time," he said. He added that while Grand Turk did not offer the diversity of scenery that Jamaica did, it still had significant possibilities as a resort destination.

No mention of JB. Pretty interesting. Wonder if he just provides a license in return for fees or a percentage.

Margaritaville Miami is supposed to be coming up the pike too.

There is going to be a Margaritaville in every state, I bet. It's going to be like Hard Rock Cafes.

A franchise, I believe. This makes me think the Cayman one is being developed by the same folks vs. Jimmy, as well.

Margaritaville Alabama. They'd have to have it Central or North Alabama. Bubba wouln't want it to compete with LuLu's.

The Margaritaville in Michigan is going to be a big hit. All of those cold people need escapism!
