it was good practice, and I survived!!! Haven't done much today, but then I didn't have any plans to. Next Saturday is a slightly different story!!

Hey, we just booked Vegas for the 21st. Have not booked a hotel yet. Looks like lots are staying at the Hard Rock but it is showing as not available. I have not called it yet. Any comments on hotels? Thanks

I'd really like to meet some BN'ers this trip since everyone i invited bailed on me this trip! I am staying at the Aladdin, and doubt I'll have time for pre-concert phun, but I'd sure like to hook up for some after parties!

Uhhhhh..... I didn't see anyone staying at Hard Rock.....Its a ways from the MGM.....it looked like there was/are a bunch at the Hooters hotel (across street from MGM).....

I'd like to thank "coolblueswing", a very dear and special friend, for hipping me to the show and whatever other events we might be attending.
As I just joined this site, I would like to say hello to all, and look forward to meeting many of you on the weekend of the 28th. Also, I live in Las Vegas, and happen to have some free time the weekend before as well, so if anyone has info I might have missed as to where and when some other parties/events are being held, other than the actual Buffett concert, I would greatly appreciate your posts. I would think "Tommy Rockers would be a where, how 'bout the when?

Uhhhhh..... I didn't see anyone staying at Hard Rock.....Its a ways from the MGM.....it looked like there was/are a bunch at the Hooters hotel (across street from MGM).....

I agree with Dutch Harbor on this one, the Hard Rock is rather distant from the strip and the parties/events for the Buffett weekends. Unless you're going to have a car, I wouldn't suggest the Hard Rock....it's a nice Hotel and Casino, but again it wouldn't be convenient for the concert.

Tommy Rocker's is hosting the LVPHC Last Man Standing on 10/20. The schedule can be found on their website: http://lvphcwm.tripod.com/lvphc/ the site is listing a 6:pm start time.

Margaritaville has Nadirah Shakoor ( http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... id=6569076 ) on 10/20 as well. They're listing special guests from the Coral Reefer Band. The Margaritaville site is listing an 11:pm start time.

I'm sure everyone already has their tickets "locked on" but Nick, the Booze Hound and I may have a couple we'll be trying to unload. Face value of course in Section 205U. We'll be staying at Hooters and we're on the phone list.
A scant 97 HOURS until my arrival.

I actually don't ahve a ticket but figure ill just go to to the box office so i don't pay fees. i'll probably just get a cheap one. if someonme is lookign to unload a single at face, pm me though....

I'm landing at 930 am on Friday so if you're drinking margaritas at that time I'll be impressed. What time are you going to go to Hooters ( the restaurant not the hotel) ?
