FYI much to the wifes displeasure I will likely be ordering fun rubber ducks and such with nextday air. She'll be so pleased I spent $30 to get $25 worth of fun crap I plan to leave in Vegas!
Sometimes you just gotta do it :D I'm sure once she gets to Vegas, she'll forget all about it and you'll be in the clear.

Searching frantically for goodies to pass to my new Buffett News friends on Oriental Trading.com.

Plenty of beads but those as usual come at a price!

T minus 50 hours and 22 minutes until I'm on that plane for that long, long, long 5 hour flight. In case you're wondering, it's worth every mintue. It's starting to really get difficult to make myself look busy at work... I'm sure tomorrow will be a REAL challenge.

Vegas, baby... Vegas!!!

Work!? Work is planning every detail to this weekend. Looking like I am busy doing that is easy because I am. Looking busy on REAL work things!? Now thats the challenge.

56 hours on my end and its slowly sucking the life out of me . . . .

Any place good to eat Friday Night in Vegas after 10:30pm?

Hmmm... not sure of any late night dining that would be really good. I'm usually on my 4th or 5th margarita by then... or Saturday, I'll be on my 14th or 15th by then. :)

Saturday won't allow time or personal mental and physical condition for fine dining. Friday is my only hope. . . . dang.

Pencil Thin, would you agree that the weather change is making it harder, and making Vegas still seem so far away??? (it snowed a bit yesterday, for those of you scoring at home)

I made it worse by pre-packing some last night, trying to figure out which suitcase to use. I figure sense checking bags has become so standard that I might as well bring the bigger one

Do you know if we can use the online check-in for Southwest, and still check bags? I guess it's time to look at the Southwest site.

Hmmmm...should I or shouldn't I?!!

Would it be worth it for me to fly out Saturday morning and leave Sunday afternoon? I had a blast last year!! Anyone from Missouri going?

Yes you can. Check in online and go right to baggage check when you get to the airport. At least thats how we do it here in CHicago.

You can check in online at southwest.com up to 24 hours in advance. I'll be doing the same thing.

I can't wait for that weather change... 60*, overcast and windy in sunny Rochester, NY... ugh. T minus 49 hours and 2 minutes until flight time.

[quote="dean_siu"]For those of you driving from California, please be aware of the road construction taking place on the I-15 at the Cajon Pass. Here's additional info and links to check updates.....

I just called 909.383.7960 and was told that there are NO closures this weekend. She stated that 'work was cancelled this weekend'.

...i think i am now confused!

I've been to Missouri!! does that count?

Repeat after me, "I'm going to Vegas this weekend. I AM going to Vegas this weekend."

Also, use this picture as inspiration:

I'm pretty sure you can. We just plan on being there a little early and checking in then. What time do you plan on hitting DIA?

When in doubt...go with the big suitcase! You hit it right on the head with the weather around here the last couple of days...I Gotta Go Where It's Warm!

Just two days to go...
Just two days to go...
Just two days to go :D

I plan to leave Fort Collins around 8:30, and it will take about an hour to get there, maybe a bit more. I'm getting a ride, so I'll be dropped off right at the airport, and not have to worry about parking/shuttle.

That will make me 2-hours early, which I almost never do, but I haven't flown Southwest before, and heard a few bad stories, so I figured getting there early would be ok.

If we check in at the same time, then we might end sitting next to each other on the plane, which would be good, since otherwise I'll be alone.

I figure I'll be at the airport close to 9:45ish. What are you thinking about arrival time?
