Hi there fellow east coasters......I dotn think there is really any bad seats at MGM but be prepared of course to stand all show being on the floor. There is a seat map that someone posted earlier if you want to get a better idea of your seats.

The MGM Grand Garden Arena hold more than 17,000, and that doesn't count the floor.

I don't know for sure, but would presume section D would start with row A, so you'd be 7 rows back. I wouldn't be surprised if A-B-C start with AA-BB....just to make people who got row A think they're right up front, but I don't know.

Looking at the map, http://www.mgmgrand.com/entertainment/f ... uffett.gif, I would also not be surprised if A-B-C have 26 rows (or more).
I'm just tryin' to get by being quiet and shy,

Hey hey! I picked up a pair for me and the wife in 215. And, when I got home she had surprised me with a couple of t-shirts to wear that she found on cafepress that someone had made for Vegas. I am getting psyched! Did anyone here put these together? It looks like the work of a BN'er.

Well for starters, you're closer than Floor G or Floor H!!! :D Your seats are somewhere in the middle area give or take.....So you are closer than about 1/2 of the folks at the show!!!!!

For the floor they start at "A" ( Guitar pick range is the 7th row from the stage "G") the first level off the floor (that little tiny section) starts at "AA" The "Lower section then starts again at "A" and somewhere in the "U" (upper) part of the section goes to "AA" again.... I think.....or was I just seeing double...again

As far as the floor goes....you will be standing the whole show (as if you were gonna sit...!!!! ) it will be fairly active down there! Remember to bring your beach balls!!! And throw beads!!!
Be prepared ro get smacked by beer and margarita covered beach balls!!!!!

The floor is a hoot!!!!

Does anyone know anything about the Casino Royale & Hotel?

I know it's on the strip, and close to the Flamingo, but is it a total dump?

Well we got our tix. A little disappointed with location ( TM and I have different definitions of "Best Available"). But we have a flight, tix, and a room. And it's Vegas, no whining. My wife (murPH), my son and I will be there. Our flight isn't scheduled to arrive until 10 PM on 10/20. Do you think there is any chance we can get to the LMS party before the festivities are over?

Section 204U! No idea what that means other than they have to let me in the building. Lots of tickets left it appears.

Again Lastminutetravel.com has $45/night rooms .5 miles from the MGM off Tropicana at the America's Best Value Inn. No casino just an average old motel - rooms probably are run down but I only plan to sleep there. It is adjacent to Hooters hotel and casino offering both pre and post festivities.

I'm in. I check this all the time from work and there is little to no activity. I could use the diversion from work.

Here's a general plan/schedule of events.
Friday, Oct. 20:
The Flamingo pool in the AM.
Margaritaville 'round noon.
Last Man Standing, at 6:pm at Tommy Rocker's Mojave Beach, 4275 Dean Martin Dr (formerly Industrial Rd). This years charity will be the LVPHC's "Annual Foster Kids Christmas Party". Check their website for updates: http://lvphcwm.tripod.com/lvphc/
Here's the link to last years announcement about LMS: http://www.buffettnews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40086

Saturday, Oct. 21- Margaritaville Alley Party (next to Flamingo) starts around noon. Some stay at the Flamingo until showtime, others catch the monorail up to the MGM Grand Pool Party (4:pm-ish). Then head to the show.

Let me know if anyone has any more details, or if I've given any wrong info.
