Just saw an ad for this in this Sunday's Tribune if anyone is going to be in the city for the weekend:

http://www.tallshipschicago.net/
Tall Ships Chicago
August 3-9
Navy Pier and Chicago River

We went a couple years ago... didn't purchase a "boarding pass" to go on the boats or anything but we still got to see some cool vessels up close... it's really cool!

Can't wait for the show :D (Just got back from Vegas so now I have this to look forward to.)

This will be my first Buffett concert (first one I was able to get tickets for). This was probably mentioned earlier, but when is the best time to get there to meet up with the rest of you?

Tall ships are fun! While I've never been on one myself, I used to work up in Skokie and take Lake Shore Drive northbound. I remember driving by the ships as they were docked on the Chicago River. This went on for a couple of days.

I am sad to say, I will not be at this show either. I did not make Alpine and a buddy of mine is gettin married on August 5th. I am gonna try to meet up Friday night though, maybe the Beachbum show or Mac. So, looks like not tropical toga this year

Hopefully I will still get to meet some Bn'ers

Can't wait to get to Chicago for the show. We are still looking for 6 pavilion tickets...so..if anybody knows somebody...We would really like these 6 to be together but realize that is going to be uber-difficult. So, we'll take four and two.

We are having our annual Buffett Bash at our house this Saturday. It should be a great warm-up for Chicago!

Can't wait for the party...can't wait for the concert....!!!!!

See you there!!

Just wanted to say that I have been reading your discussion board for a while now, and decided to join. Everyone seems like such a great group of fun people. I have been a Buffet fan for many years and have every CD, Tinley Park will be my first concert. I was able to get tickets on ebay. I am so excited & can't wait!!! :D
