d) a megaphone would be helpful as well, to help with the social butterflies, fluttering in the area and not realizing the pic is happening!RinglingRingling wrote:I have a series of shots I am going to try to stitch into a large panorama.LonePalm1 wrote:Yippie.. as a note from looking at them:
a) have someone not in the group, but familiar with the camera take the shots. That way, the photographer can actually be in a shot or two. (Ideally, digital camera with a tripod.. makes the panning on the level easier.)
b) have the photographer get everyone's attention and tell them to "look at the hand" or some other reference point so they are all looking the same direction.
c) at some point, you have to yell, "Sit the *()&* down and stay *()&)*&ing still." it will keep the stitching issues to a minimum.

And it would have helpful if the VE busses (and mine) had been there and situated, instead of just pulling in at GO time.Tiki Bar wrote:RinglingRingling wrote:you are right. Next year... There is going to be a god d*m plan.. and a freakin' group shot that looks d*m near professional.![]()

Thanks for the info. I might do that. How far is Joliet from Tinley Park?prrthd1987 wrote:You sure you want to do that? I wouldn't wish Harvey upon my worst enemy (although it's not as bad as it used to be...) If you can't find Tinley, there are a few nice hotels on the West side of Joliet (off of Houbolt rd) that aren't too far awayHoosier PH wrote:As of now I am sitting in the lawn (unless I can score tickets in the pavillion), staying at the Days Inn in Harvey (unless rooms become available in Tinley Park). Will be doing the Mac show Friday night.

With being sober at the concert last year (because I was pregnant) I am planning on being the LEAST sober this year. Just to make up for loss time.Tiki Bar wrote:Sober? I was thinking I like Jimmys music so much, I dont have to drink to have a good time, I will just go to enjoy the music and not the drinking. NOT TRUE! I like the drinking as much as I like the music!

no.. not really. Just like to have a good quality product, and sadly, most of the time with a group of Parrotheads, it's like herding cats.Tiki Bar wrote:RinglingRingling wrote:you are right. Hey now! I resemble that remark! I was pretty much stone cold sober at Alpine. I had 2 Corona lights the entire day! Don't get any ideas, though. I may not be so good at Tinley!PalmTreeGal wrote:I have a bf who I bet would have a ball doing that........I'll see what he says and get back with you.
