This newbie is absurdly excited. All my work for the day is done and I'm not nearly focused enough to start anything new. But my boss won't let me go home yet. *Sigh* I suppose I'll just have to content myself with listening to Radio Margaritaville on my computer and going over packing lists in my head while getting increasingly wound up for the weekend.

Hey there everyone! I've perused the "Final Update" thread looking for the answers to a couple of questions I have but couldn't find them. (Could've missed them in all my excitement!). Anyway, here they are:

1. Can we still get a shuttle bus from the HI to the concert?
2. What is the earliest we can get into the venue to tailgate? I read somewhere 2:00 but that seems early.

Thanks everyone. I've got 12 people going and most are Jimmy
Buffett virgins, so I'm taking on all of the planning and feeling a bit overwhelmed.

We have to stay all the way up in Oak Brook but do have a van hired to get us back and forth. But I'm thinkng if we want to do the tailgreat party at the HI, how do we get from there to the concert? Hence the shuttle question.

I'm feeling the urge for a nice cold one right about now, and it's not even noon yet! :D

Hey there,
Sorry it slipped my mind to add this on the 1st page.

Yes there will be a shuttle from HI to the venue. It costs money. I know someone brought it up a couple threads back. I think it was like 10-15 bucks. But from what I have gathered no alchol or coolers will be allowed on the shuttle.

Second,
We all wish we knew when the gates will open, In years past it has been around 2. But the venue has change management recently so according to all their emails, they are saying 4. You will be herded to go in at 6pm. However like someone had brought up, the gates will be opened as soon is there is enough of a traffic jam to gridlock the surrounding roads.

Hope This Helps. See you there.

Ok... touchups to the mini bar hat are complete!

I am a bit nauseous! Last year at Wrigley, the Corona bottle was knocked off, so Ann iuparrothead thought quickly and stuck it back on with her chewed gum! That held up til Alpine, when it was knocked off yet again during the show. I had put it in my pocket... Well, before gluing it back on, I scraped the remains of her gum off of the bottom! ewww!!
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say
I’m still gliding as I go flying down this endless wave

I will be leaving my house at around 12:00pm. I expect it to take 40 minutes to get to Tinley. So I'll get to the campground.

First things first ...

reach in the cooler and open a Corona
Set up the tent / decorate with palm trees, parrots, and leis, tiki lights
Start grilling out dinner.

My family who all lives in Iowa will be rolling in around 3pm.

Sit at the beach for a while.... swim, relax...

Drink more...

Sit around a campfire

Wake up sat. morning, and start drinking bloody marys.

Meet up with all of you crazies!

PARTY PARTY PARTY!!!! AHHHHHH!! T-23 hours until my vacation starts.
