The BuffettNews Meet and Drink....
- We hope to see and meet as many BNers as possible. BN will have 2 meet up places. The first is 12:00 - 4:00pm at the Holiday Inn Tail Great Party, which is hosted by a local PH club. Just look for people with BN nametags and lanyards. Or you can look for a walking tikibar. She usually knows where the party is.
Details for the Holiday Inn Party are below.

- For those of you who may not be able to make it to the Holiday Inn Tail Great Party. We will be meeting at the venue at 5pm for a cocktail, conversation and good times. The meeting will be at the big red X See the photo below.


We will also be meeting at the venue before the show, 5:00pm at the big red X.

More Info....
The Pilot House Crew is excited to release the much anticipated
details for Tail Great 2006! So save the date - Saturday, August 5
will be the day to party! And this will be *THE* party to be at!
Remember...there is no cover charge for this event!

Tail Great 2006 will be held at the Holiday Inn - 18501 South Harlem
Avenue in Tinley Park. Our very own South of Disorder Band will
perform from noon - approximately 4:00 pm. And they are primed to
rock the house, er parking lot!

Weather permitting, Tail Great will be held outside, so please feel
free to bring a folding or camp chair so that you can relax and enjoy
the sun!! And they have plenty of room for us indoors, just in case
the weather is less than favorable.

The Holiday Inn will set up a number of bars to serve up some great
cocktails. This will allow you more time to enjoy the party, and less
time standing in line. : ) We are still working on the day's drink
specials and hope to announce them within the next few days.

In addition, lots of food will be available - Hamburgers,
Cheeseburgers, and Chicken Sandwiches for $5.00 each, and Hot Dogs for
$4.00.

Since this will be such a HUGE party, we needed to bring some HUGE
purpose for the day!

Our friends from Special Olympics will be on hand to help with Rubber
Ducky Adoptions for the Derby which will run on Friday, August 25.
You *adopt* a numbered ducky, and then on the designated day, they
will all be released into the Chicago River. They will *race* down
the river to the finish line, and the first duck to cross the finish
line wins an exciting prize!

And of course, our club will be hosting a cash raffle! All proceeds
from the raffle will help to support the Alzheimer's Association,
Greater Illinois Chapter. We will need help from all of our club
members to sell raffle tickets throughout the day.

The invitation is open to all! Friends? Family? Someone you just met
at the mini mart? Bring 'em with! The event is open to the general
public....Because there is always room for more parrot heads!

If you are going to the Cub game on Friday, Aug. 4 and want to catch Mac at the Colosseum here is the deal. The Metra stop in Mokena is in the same parking lot as the Colosseum so here is what to do......Get on the Joliet Chicago line to LaSalle St. station - get on the L - connect to the red line - get off the red line on Addison and watch the Cubs kick the Pirates @$$. Have a beer at the Cubby Bear. Head back to LaSalle St. Station (buy a cold one before you get on the train), return to Mokena, hit the White Castle next to the Colosseum for a slider, stumble to the Colosseum, have a few beers, play bags and watch Mac!!

I'm staying at home And I'm still mad that the Mac show is 21+

Larry (L.I.P.H.) and I are going-staying at the Motel 6 in Joliet.
We'll be at the Mac McAnally concert Friday evening in Mokena, but I thought it started at EIGHT O'clock, not NINE.
I guess that just gives us an extra hour to look at the eye candy.

Frequent reader and infrequent poster. We live near the Colosseum Bar and will be attending the Mac show with about 20 others. Also certainly going to the concert on Aug. 5. Sittin in the lawn. Went to Cinci on Thursday. Awesome!! Jake is a great addition to the band. Hope he is in Chitown.
Mac show is a must for anyone who wants to get close to a Coral Reefer. He will stay after his 2 hr. gig to talk to people as long as they want. Set list at his show at Colosseum last year included Coast of Carolina, In the City, It's My Job, Semi-True Stories, Coast is Clear, Last Man Standing. Well worth the 20 bucks for this up close look at Jimmys rt. hand man.

We'll see what happens when everyone returns from Cheesehead-land, but otherwise, it may just be you and me!

I don't want to wish summer away but I can't wait until August 5th! We just got back from Pitt and had a total blast the night b4 the show at a pool party hosted by our hotel. Does anyone know of anything going on like that in Chicago? I don't know that we'll be able to make Mac's show as we're driving in that night.
