thanks for the suggestion and the info...I guess what i really want is a way to contribute as part of a parrothead group, so that Mr. Buffett will get the credit. Who knows? If we contributed enough, he might even get .... Dallas? .... Austin??

You might be able to learn something by phoning the main Kinky Friedman campaign headquarters and asking to speak with someone handling fund raising

it was something of a perfect storm: major party candidates that seemed like just more of the same old crap; a state with a history of Progressivism; and a candidate that was media-savvy, and possessing a good resume.

Hopefully Kinky (if he wins, and good Lord would that be a great thing) learns the lessons Jesse missed: getting there is just the start; it ain't about you so much as about the idea of a viable third party with new ideas or at least the ability to look at old ones and use that media skill to get them examined for soundness; don't think that it is now your office and the sun rises and sets in your butt.

Jesse ignored all of those, and went from someone with potential to a joke.
