So I guess the next question will be "Is Fingers playing the rest of the Tour"...
Although I think it would be great for him to rejoin the band and finish out the tour, I am not going to get my hopes up that Fingers will be there in Philly.
It is just nice to see that the 2 of them have put there differences behind them (at least for one night) and got back together.
The folks in Cincy are lucky to have been there.

It was sweet. For me, it made the concert. I "think" that may have been my last concert, it's just not worth it for me anymore. Not really talking price. Jimmy needs to play Buffett songs and cut the rest of the crap. Zevon, Zepplin, and the Dead don't make a Buffett show for me. He played a few songs tonight that hadn't yet been released, which is fine, but with the multitude of things he could play, just didn't do it for me.
Maybe I'll see it differently next year, but halfway through the first set I thought, man I wish I was at the Reds game.
Seeing Fingers made it worthwhile.
BTW CSN kicks Buffett's butt on Southern Cross IMO.
For those who love the tailgating, it is fun, but I have a great time sitting in at my patio, smoking stogies, drinking my margaritas, and having my burgers than driving 12 minutes to RB.
I guess I am getting old.

So........did Fingers play the whole show? In particular - Growing Older But Not Up, Pencil Thin Moustache, WDWGDAS, and Floridays '06? Those lucky phs better appreciate being the 1st crowd to hear JB, the CRB, and Fingers on the same stage in a long time(about 6 or 7 years right?). Which song did he sound the best on?
Looks like it was just on Fins? That kinda sux, just a tease to the Cincy crowd

We used to laugh at Grandpa when he'd head off and go fishing. But we wouldn't
be laughing that evening when he'd come back with some whore he picked up in
town.

You only say that because they beat the crap out of the CUBS.bucknutdet wrote:Maybe I'll see it differently next year, but halfway through the first set I thought, man I wish I was at a Reds game.
again
I know this will probably fall on deaf ears again, but I wouldn't be getting my hopes up for Fingers coming back for the rest of the tour. Something tells me you'll be disappointed. (I'd love to be wrong on this one, but I don't think I am).
If he's at Alpine, that would be fantastic. If he ISN'T at Alpine, I'm still going to have a great time.

If Charlotte, Atlanta, Columbia or anyother place had a concert within a 2-3 hour drive tomorrow, I'd go. And JUST for the tailgating parties. They're not about eating, drinking, and smoking, but about PHlocking together with old PHriends and making NEW PHriendsbucknutdet wrote:For those who love the tailgating, it is fun, but I have a great time sitting in at my patio, smoking stogies, drinking my margaritas, and having my burgers than driving 12 minutes to RB.

Re: Fingers
Unfortunately he's booked elsewhere on Aug 10 and I don't see him coming in from IN to play on the 12th. I hink the Alpine folks may get lucky tonight (with respect to Fingers I can't speak on anything else!)drunkpirate66 wrote:just pray that Fingers remembers Great Woods - great Cinny show!!!
but I'm not looking for him to be at the rest of the shows. Although I'm hoping along with everyone else! To quote a poster upthread "lucky bastards"
