The Music Genome Project

Post by green1 »

Anyone else out there heard of www.Pandora.com

They call it the music genome project. You can create a "radio station" based upon the type of music you like. The creators of this website have analyzed songs and categorized them by type, style, instrumentation . . .
When you select a song or an artist it digs into its files and plays songs that match the style of that particular song or artist. Then you can further refine your station by noting whether you like or dsilike a particular song.

 I guess I should have done a search first. Sorry. Pandora is what I listen to all day. My wife introduced me to it last month. Love it.

No problem. If you get a chance, read the Eastbay article. It explains a whole lot.

I started with Buffett and all they play is 70s singer/songwriters. I'm trying to get some Marley and others thrown in.

My biggest fear is that when I die, my wife will sell all my Buffett stuff for what I said I paid for it!
