Buffett Appearance "Definite" At Talkhouse Friday

Folks:

According to the management at the Stephen Talkhouse (631-267-3117), Jimmy will be making a special appearance with Mac McAnally tomorrow (Friday) night at 7PM.

Now I'm sure we all remember that the last time I posted such an announcement a couple of years back, JB was a no-show, and according to the management at the Talkhouse, it was because his son got sick.

I have been told that Radio Margaritaville has called the Talkhouse to record the show, so I think we have some good, positive signs going here.

See y'all tommorow night!

I know you're posting with good intentions, and I'd be thrilled with the news if I were going! But there are purists who want to see Mac at a Mac show, and Jimmy at a Jimmy show. I just hope they can express that without shooting the messenger!

I would go to see just mac, and i would go to see just jimmy, both are equally great performers own their own in my mind. Unfortunately it is way out of my way and I dont have a place to stay tonight down there, so doesnt look like I will be there.

Possible red flags I see eminating from posting this information...

1. If the appearance was supposed to be a surprise, posting it here may be enough to reverse the decision.

2. Some people may decide to go at the outside chance of seeing Jimmy... if he doesn't show up, they'll line up to complain that Jimmy was supposed to be there.

3. Causing hype about Jimmy possibly being there may take away from the focus of the show... namely Mac.

Like I said, if Jimmy played with Mac for a song or two, I bet it would be special. And I'm confident B just wants as many people to get to see it as possible. I hope it all works out for the best for everyone!

It'll be fun if Jimmy shows up, but I hope he sits in for a song or two and then becomes part of the audience again. I want to hear Mac play....

In BSHERRIS's defense, Jimmy was expected two years ago, no doubt about it. Something came up at the last minute, after everyone else was at the venue.
