No, what's pathetic is the NeoCons who fooled YOU and so many many other Americans into thinking that we're in IMMINENT DANGER by old shadows of Saddam...
while the REAL TERRORIST sits comfortably untouched in Pakistan.
I see where we just sold Pakistan a nice package of F-16 fighters...
Tell you what,....I would rather save lives than see them lost. If that means losing our troops lives in protecting us, so be it. I do not want to see anyone lose their life needlessly. I do not want to see any of our troops die or be wounded. YET I am realistic enough to KNOW what can and does happen. Are you?
Yet our troops are there and they KNOW WHY they are there, the moment they took the Oath. They knew and accepted the consequences.
It sounds like you are ready to risk the lives of innocent people and let them die and be exposed to sarin and other agents.
I am a vet and everyone of those paying the price,and up to the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE are my brothers and sisters. They know their job and they know it well, unless you are trying to tell us they do not, and something different.
My point is real simple...
I'm only here to tell you that the premise of your post re: WMD... is BUNK... it's been previously confimed by our own Dept. of Defense as BUNK...
and Sen Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) believes it... so it's BUNK.

Like if Iran and North Korea go ahead with their nuclear programs as they would like?
It seems the sarin is much more of a danger to our troops there now than it would be to Americans.

Michael Moore is in the White House???
I don't think anyone at the WH has touted these as anything other than what they are...just part of Saddam's old arsenal that EVERY country on the planet with intelligence gathering agencies knew were there and knows are somewhere else right now.
When this story first broke (if you can call it that) the WH was contacted for further comment and they said these are old weapons and when pushed for additional characterization of the danger they represented, the WH simply said "we don't want to re-open the the WMD debate."
There may be someone "propping" these up for political gain but it appears to be the press and certainly no one affiliated with the President.
If there are still folks out there who are wondering if we're doing the right thing or are questioning whether we should have removed Saddam from his dictator chair, all I can say is go ask a soldier who's been there.

The someone "propping" this up for political gain would be the Congressional Republicans trying to get re-elected this November, although you are correct - Congressional Republicans are definitely NOT trying to affiliate themselves with the President at this point. With his historically low popularity, Bush is definitely in Nixon territory now.
