BATHROOMS/PORTA POTTIES AT GREAT WOODS AND CAMDEN?

Post by justinnycny »

I was at the jones beach show (great time) and the bonus was there were plenty of bathrooms which is handy when tailgating! So, my question.. what is the bathroom or porta pottie situation at Great Woods and Camden (the other shows i am going to). I am concerned maybe i shouldnt start to tailgate TOO early if there isnt a place to.. well... get rid of the beer and margaritas.

If it's anything like Chicago, your best bet would be to make a trip to Cabela's:

There seemed to be lots of porta potties at GW but even so lines were long but good natured, lines got LONGER once security started throwing the guys out of the woods so they had to wait in line with us. Saw quite a few of those Cabela thingys scattered around. One thing I will say is BRING YOUR OWN TP!

For those who choose to use the woods as a potty or for any other, ah, activity ( :o )..... remember that those shiny triple-leaf plants that blanket the woods in that area are POISON IVY............. :o

We've always used the woods at Great Woods. I remember long lines at Camden.
Plan Your pit stops accordingly.

Did someone say that security was throwing guys out of the woods last year?

that is the coolest thing.... we have a porto potty for the boat... but I have no problem going back to nature! I just need to not fall over this time and fall into a pit with cement blocks..... (West Palm - long story)

It was pretty stupid, but I guess it could have been worse, they COULD have started enforcing all the signs that said "No Alcohol"

They have Porta potties scattered throughout the lot. The lines don't get too bad until like 3 pm. Up until then its not too bad...actually I don't remember it being all that bad. BUT I am a "woods" person. Quicker and easier, why do you think they call it "Great Woods" YOu can also make your own using a bucket, kitty litter and maybe 2 curtains strung between 2 cars (thanks for the idea Kitty!). Or if you have a pick up truck put the bucket there and make a curtain thing.

See you there!

yep...we have one of those cabellas thingies and bring a few large spackle buckets and kitty litter -- one for sitters with a seat and one for standers.

I believe we found our stride
And the walls that won’t come down
We can decorate or climb or find some way to get around
