Baseball's 5 greatest of each Franchise....

So there's a new thing coming out next week where DHL is partnering with MLB and maybe others to release the top 5 players of each franshise and the their be a vote to determine the best player of each franchise. So who do you like from your team and maybe others? I'll do my Yanks now ( which has allot of candidates of course) but here goes:

1. Ruth
2. DiMaggio
3.Gehrig
4.Mantle
5.Berra

About another 4 or 5 that could be on there but there you go...

1. Tom Seaver, nobody else is even close
2. Keith Hernandez
3. Gary Carter
4. Darryl Strawberry, even with all his problems I think he's still the all time HR leader for the Mets

Statistically, I think the order i picked is probably correct, but I <heart> Vinnie Castilla!!!

The Rockies were easy, 'cause they are just a "baby" when it comes to the ages of most of the other teams.

I would have picked Ruth but he is more identifiable as a Yankee.

Walker was a real good player when he was younger but I think I'd put Helton first

Walker was a real good player when he was younger but I think I'd put Helton first

I thought about that, too, and since I don't really follow baseball much at all, you're probably right. Larry (Walker) kind of became whiner, but he really wanted to be with a club that could produce results.
