I thought the video collection was great. One of the best parts is it works as a time capsule for video styles. From the early '70s style of film of Jimmy in front of a small crowd, to the cheesy mid '80s of La Vie Dansante and Homemade Music to the late '90s of Fruitcakes, etc. You also have to see all the "styling" outfits Jimmy wears. His commentary between videos is insightful and funny. I highly recommend the collection. Thanks for putting it together Jimmy!

One of the best things about this video is that if you put it on fast forward and watch it, =you can actually see Jimmy's hairline receed before your eyes.=
Seriously, it's a fun romp, and it was nice to see some very underproduced videos from before MTV.

What a great video - kind of a time capsule that is a must for all Parrotheads. The early footage is a trip, and Jimmy's sense of humor comes through in the entire video. The final tracks really brought back memories of many, and I do mean many, fantastic parking lot blowouts. You're right Jimmy, it has has been a lovely cruise. Thanks.

Great video!! The best part was the movie clip filmed in Key West in 1973. What a wild, wild place that must have been!!! I particularly liked Nautical Wheelers performed live at the old Anchor Inn. The guy that got up and danced was a real trip (or really tripping). That segment alone was worth the price of the video. And the scenes with Miss Jane in Come Monday, she was absolutely gorgeous!!!! What a beauty!!! Jimmy definitely married over his head!!

Is this all Jimmy can put out Since Live by the Bay fifteen years ago? Have watched it once and probably wont play it again till next year sometime. Sorry, but was expecting a little more. Well, actually alot more. The video is barely an hour and fifteen minutes long. Too bad

Miss Jane was definitely a little hottie back then...they both looked great together back then.

Dallas, she was certainly very pretty, but I think he looks better now without that giant 70's bouffant hairdo.

Got this video for my Hubby for Father's Day. He, I and our 17 (18 tomorrow) year old watched it together this morning.
My daughter LOVED the clothes from the 70's and my husband says Jimmy sure got lucky with Jane!
The songs were great. And I have to agree with JK, the guy that got up and danced was a hoot!!!
A nice way to start the day.

We love our Jimmy narrated video, too. The guy in Key West was priceless! It is so funny to see the small crowds of fans, sitting in circles singing along with Jimmy.
We see Jane too infrequently! She is gorgeous! She is the basis for so many of Jimmy's songs, I think he should do a tribute album to her...would love to see a current family photo of the Buffett's also!

ONE FANTASTIC VIDEO. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. I THINK THE "HE WENT TO PARIS" PORTION COULD MAKE ATILLA THE HUN MISTY EYED. IT REALLY MAKES YOU WONDER WHAT COULD BE GOING ON BEHIND THE EYES OF THE "OLD" MAN, WHO COULD BE ONE OF US IN A FEW YEARS. MY FAVORITE PORTIONS WERE THE BAR ROOM SCENE IN "NAUTICAL WHEELERS," THE DANCING GUY IN THE CHECKERED SHIRT MAY HAVE LOOKED FOOLISH TO SOME PEOPLE, BUT SHOW ME ANYONE WHO WOULD NOT HAVE DONE THE SAME THING, AND I'LL SHOW YOU A FOOL WHO DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO HAVE FUN AND ENJOY LIFE. MY OTHER FAVORITE PORTION ON THE VIDEO WAS THE TRULY BEAUTIFUL "LA VIE DANSANTE." THAT PART DID MAKE ME LAUGH AND SHED A COUPLE OF TEARS AT THE SAME TIME. FANTASIC TAP DANCING BY MS. BUNNY AND THE REST. ALSO, I WAS A BIG MONKEES FAN YEARS AGO, (I ADMIT IT-GO AHEAD AND TAKE YOUR POT SHOTS AT ME), SO IT WAS NICE TO SEE MIKE NESMITH. I ALWAYS APPRECIATED HIS HUMOR. BUT THE TAP DANCING BY MS. BUNNY TO ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE JIMMY SONGS REALLY SENT A GUSH OF WARM WONDERFUL FEELINGS THROUGH ME. I LOVED IT. AND OF COURSE, LASTLY, WHO COULD NOT HAVE ENJOYED THE PARKING LOT SCENE IN THE "CHANGES IN LATITUDES" PORTION, AND THE EVER POPULAR MAC MACANALLY SONG "IN THE CITY." MRS. JANE BUFFETT IS STILL LOOKING GEORGOUS AT 49, TOO. A GREAT VIDEO, WELL WORTH THE PURCHASE PRICE.

MofM: I know what you mean...the intro to "La Vie..." was a STITCH! ...that's Buffett with two T's... yep, it was good. Tell me though, is the tattoo really there on his shoulder? (please don't blast me for not knowing...) Also, did anyone else get a chuckle out of the little taste of reality/mortality that JB was wearing a knee-brace when surfing? Made me feel a little better about my own arthritis!!
...I'm livin' on things that excite me...

OHIO:
YEAH, I HAD PEOPLE TELL ME THE TATTOO IS THERE AND REAL, OTHERS SAY NO. MYSELF, I DON'T KNOW, AND REALLY, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW ANY OF THE PEOPLE WHO TOLD ME IT'S THERE/NOT THERE KNOW.

Ohio - He made a reference to a tattoo last year at his show and said "hell yes they hurt", so I'm on the side of it being "real".

WELL DUH;
GOOD TO SEE YOU TOO AS ALWAYS. THE SHOPPING IDEA THAT EVERYONE IS SUGGESTING SOUNDS GOOD, BUT IF I SEND HER ON A SHOPPING SPREE VOLUNTARILY SHE WILL KNOW SOMETHING IS UP. WHAT I THINK I'LL DO IS WAIT UNTIL WE'RE IN KEY WEST IN NOVEMBER, SHE'LL MEET SO MANY WONDERFUL PARROTHEADS, SHE'LL SAY TO ME, 'GEE, WE SHOULD REALLY INVITE SOME OF THESE PEOPLE TO IOWA, THEY'RE SOOOOOO NICE.' AND I'LL SAY 'YEAH, GOOD IDEA, HONEY, HOW DO YOU THINK OF ALL THESE FANTASTIC PLANS?' IT'LL WORK, BELIEVE ME. (WELL DUH, DID YOU SAY YOU WOULD BE IN KEY WEST FOR M.O.T.M.?).
