Neighbors are extended family of sorts. Do what you would do if they were a family a family members.

Good luck.

I will back up the notifying of someone and you MIGHT want to keep a rexord somewhere of who you notified , even if it is anonamous call.

Your state, as every state does, has an investigative bureau that should be willing to investigate. You may want to consider calling them.

It is your neighborhood, only you can make the decision of what to do. A lot of us (IF NOT ALL OF US) support you making the call. 15 minutes sounds like a long time to make a drug deal, to me, though.....no doubt something "not ha-ha funny" is going on though....with all the frequent traffic....and visitors.....

I won't bother to speculate what they are doing/ selling/ distributing...could be anything from drugs to blackmarket cds/dvds to whatever.

Do you see anyone carry anything in or out? Any large or small packages ever delivered? or leaving? Do you ever notice any sort of chemical smell?

If they are "cooking" there you have a potential "time bomb" and Hazmat site.

One guy and his gf set a local hotel on fire, while "cooking up" a batch. Some of the chemicals they COULD BE using are extremely flammable and toxic.

Best of luck and know that you are supported.

I wouldn't call unless the traffic/ noise, etc. is really bothering you. Esp. if you think the police are aware of it anyway. And, yea, (not that I'd KNOW!) 15 minutes does seem a while for a drug deal. That's just me though, it's certainly up to you. My sister in law (Island_Lullaby) met you guys in Pittsburgh and thought you were great, by the way!

Yep bg... you've got to live there. A little mention now might forego bigger problems down the road.

And maybe they'll set up a stakeout at your place, and the stakers will be hot parrotheads packing heat! And then you can make a movie out of it!

Apologies for my imagination running off like that!

Not only were they selling drugs, they were keeping guns - loaded in the house, because the drug business is a tough job.

They did $13,000 dollars worth of damage to the interior of the home before we found out about it.

I sure wish we'd have found out about these folks earlier, but they were really nice people to everyone around them, including us.
Were their names Roderick and Seneka? Cuz we had the EXACT same thing happen to us!!

Actually, it could easily be 15 minutes if the customers are using the premises to get their fix. That actually works out better for the dealer. They know the user is not a police officer as the officers don't use what they buy in a sting. It also assures that the drugs get consumed before the people can go back out on the street and be arrested with the evidence in their possession.

I'd recommend that you actually call your police department and, if it's a asmaller city or town, make an appointment to actually meet with an officer to discuss what you're seeing. It's a great idea to get to know the officers in your community.

That's a bummer that you have to deal with this bad karma but the steps you take will help everyone in your community. Also, officers LOVE getting the bad guys so they'll likely be very grateful and helpful! :-?

If you've got a video camera, it might help your case to record the activities. Since the cops always seem to show up at the slow times they might appreciate the evidence.

No, but I was going to add to my post....

They were actually GROWING Marajuana in two of the bedrooms and the ELECTRIC Co. was able to confirm a spike in the Electric bill due to the constant use of "grow lights" in those two rooms. (they had used blackout shades on the windows).
(We had to replace all the sheetrock in those rooms because of the high humidity. )
They were selling other drugs as well.

Because of the Guns, the DEA became involved. It was just nasty all around.

I know there are kids on the block.... :o

if someone wants to grow weed in their home for their own use, what's the problem, but when the start selling it, the neighborhood goes down and let's not even get on the selling it to kids subject.

if there are drugs involved, just think about the kid who is buying...could be someone you really care about...or what if it were your child...you would want someone to call...worst case scenario, you p*** off a few neighbors who, if they were decent human beings, would understand in the long run...if there is a lot of traffic it's probably not someone selling pot to some friends...go with your gut
