Central Casting

So, I was doing a creative writing exercise, and I thought it might be fun to see what others come up with....

What actors would you cast in these roles? They have to fit the role today.... While John Wayne might have made fit in nicely, he's not around.... There are no right or wrong answers; I'm just curious how others' choices compare to mine.

1) Navy Commander, male, about 38-42. Helicopter pilot. Avid runner and sometime surfer. Intense guy, wound just a little too tight. Used to be really easy-going, but big losses in his life have left him bitter.

2) Marine Corps Colonel, male, about 48-52. Hardened bad a$$. Been around a long time, and is more than a little jaded.... Intense (although I've never met a Marine Colonel who wasn't intense.... )

3) Federal Agent, female, 30-35. Tough, smart, but very feminine. Thin, but not painfully so (definitely not Calista Flockhart). An athlete. Beautiful (well, duh.... this IS central casting.... )

1) Keanu Reeves (Brad Pitt, Michael Weatherly, and Matthew Fox were all up there, too)

2) Bruce Willis, with Viggo Mortensen and Terry O'Quinn (Lost) close behind. I wish Kiefer Sutherland were 10 years older; he'd have been a possibility, too. A younger Tommy Lee Jones, too.

3) Sandra Bullock, Hilary Swank, and Evangeline Lilly (Lost) in a three way tie. Angelina Jolie right up there.

I could see him as a pilot, surfer (maybe).
Intense? check.
Would too tight? he plays that on 24, always getting into trouble with bureaucracy.
Big losses? In 24, anytime he gets close to somebody, they (or him) are torn away.
