we went to a potluck that wasn't very well attended. i brought Lower Alabama Caviar (from Lulu's cook book), someone else brought an orzo dish, and someone brought chips... and that was it
on the bright side we stopped at St James Tavern on the way home and i had a Nitro Milk Stout (one of my most recent favorites). I also got to try the first 'for sale' batch from a local brewery - Seventh Son Strong Ale. it was very tasty

I just cooked NY strip steaks on the grill. The sides were
buttered corn and rice with cheese and broccoli.
Who's got the rum?

Leftover chicken. Leftover carmerlized plantain. Diced up the chicken
and heated it up with some oil and REALLY HOT sauce. Added the
plantain. Put it in some warmed-up tortillas with some shredded
cheese and ranch dressing. Couldn't stop eating them! Funny what you
can do with some leftovers and imagination.

That sounds like something you would make when you come home hammered at 3am.
