Can you dance?

I can't, not at all. I have three children. My one son is an excellent dancer, one medium, my daughter clearly has my genes here. When I go to a wedding I can't even do the electric slide. The new slide is a bit easier because they're pretty clear in their directions. I never even mastered the Macarena.
OTOH - what talent do you wish you had? I wish I could cook in a natural way.

ah yes, I should drive to Idaho just to dance with ya dear.
I did say I can't dance didn't I. To make it worst if I drink a bit I think I can. This is a deadly affliction.

during the deadhead phase of my life not being able to dance was an assett. I could just take mind altering substances and spin around thinking it was beautiful.

I can't alter my mind enough to make my feet do the electric slide at a wedding though.

Everybody Loves To Cha Cha Cha (Cooke)
James Taylor lyrics.
Took my baby to the hop last night, what to my surprise,
when we got there she hit me with the news right between the eyes-
she said she couldn't do the cha, cha, cha.
I told her not to worry now, they'd play some other dance,
but we sat there for an hour and a half and we never got a chance
cause every song they played was the cha, cha, cha.
I told her not to worry, there's still one thing we can do,
let me take you by your hand tonight, I want to teach this dance to you.
I taught my baby how to cha, cha, cha.
We kept on dancing for an hour or two, what do you think I'd see?
We hadn't practiced for a time or two around, she was doing it better than me.
You know my baby loves to cha, cha, cha.
Everybody loves to cha, cha, cha. Little children love to cha, cha, cha.
Everybody loves to cha, cha, cha. Sam Cooke himself in the midnight hour.
Everybody loves to cha, cha, cha.

I was at a wedding in Jamaica when a local told me,
"If you can speak, you can sing. If you can walk, you can dance."
Words I've tried to live by even though I know I can't dance.

I can' dance
by Tom T.Hall Gram Parsons
I can't dance
I never could
I guess my feet don't match
I'd get out there on the floor but
I'm afraid of hurtin' my back
I can't dance
I guess I'm just one of the unfortunate few
So just for a little bit, Baby I'll come out and dance with you
But I can't dance and I'm feelin' so good, yeah
Some of us can, some of us can't
Some of us wih that they could dance
I can't dance
I guess I'm just one of the unfortunate few
So just for a little bit, Baby I'll come out and dance with you
I can't dance and I'm feelin' so good, yeah
Some of us can, some of us can't
Some of us wish that they could dance
I can't dance
I guess I'm just one of the unfortunate few
So just for a little bit, Baby I'll come out and dance with you
Yeah, just for a little bit, Baby I'll come out and dance with you
Yeah, just for a little bit, Baby I'll come out and dance with you

Come From the Heart by Guy Clark
written by Susanna
When I was a young man my daddy told me
A lesson he learned, it was a long time ago
If you want to have someone to hold onto
You're gonna have to learn to let go
Chorus
You got to sing like you don't need the money
Love like you'll never get hurt
You got to dance like nobody's watchin'
It's gotta come from the heart if you want it to work
Now here is the one thing that I keep forgetting
When everything is falling apart
In life as in love, what I need to remember
There's such a thing as trying too hard
