Obstructed view at MSG

Post by parrotheadstueby »

I was wondering if anybody knows if there was a curtain behind the stage for MSG?-I was going to buy seats to the side or behind the stage, but didn't know if it was worth it-Can't remember a concert without a scenery curtain in quite some time-thanks again

The last Buffett show at the Garden (November 2001) there was no curtain. In fact, he played two songs at the back of the stage for those who were sitting behind him.

Back on the Tiki Time Tour of '04, in Anaheim,
we purposely bought seats beside/behind the stage, cuz he constantly
would come over on one of the stage's wings and sing right to us! :P :pirate:

At the last Garden show I sat right behind the stage, it really was great. We were close enough to see Jimmy's barefeet :) and the sound was good.

I've sat right to the side of the stage too. Had the same barefoot view!
It was also nice to be able to see the CRB walking to and from the stage.
I'm just tryin' to get by being quiet and shy,
In a world full of pushin' and shove.

behind the stage seats

Most artists don't use a backdrop when they do the Garden. We saw Billy Joel and had row d, section 67. Awesome seats. Dead center and could see and hear everything. The sound was great, could hear the drummer and percussion in real time, no sound delay. Joel even had keyboards set up and came back & played to the audience there. We wound up in a ton of pix too. We've seen JB inside also w/out a backdrop & he would play right to us. Try to stay in the double digit section. 100's are good also. If you get the other sections, you wind up looking down at the stage.
