The song was actually written by Johnny Clegg, a great musical artist in his own right. 8)

good question and good song.

"Far Side of the World" is a great song about Jimmy's travels...inspired by a trip to Africa. :D

Yup, in fact I bought Johnny Clegg's CD while I was in South Africa, and I have to say, I like his version of Great Heart better than Jimmy's...

About 17 years ago, I saw Johnny Clegg and Savuka in concert---they were the opening act for Tracy Chapman, who opened for Bob Dylan.

They were incredible!

Wish I had seen that show, Ellen...and wish the person who borrowed my Johnny Clegg and Savuka CDs had given them back.  :(

Went to my first Jonny Clegg show last year. If there was a Clegg and Buffett show the same day, I would go to Clegg.

Pick up the concert DVD which includes music videos and classic clips to get a taste of Clegg today and yesterday.

I check the website at least once a week. I'm hoping for a spring tour here.
