Merry Christmas West Virginia!!!!

Yes all I wanted for Christmas was Coach Rod.
haha

oh believe me I"m one HAPPY girl today. It's been an emotional ride. I"m just glad it's over. Yesterday my confidence started to fade. I kept believing he'd stay, but I was almost convinced he really WAS going, because that's what the media was saying...expect for the media in West Virginia. So I held onto the hope that untl RICH himself announced he was going, that he'd be our coach next year too.

Luckily, it worked out in my favor this time. I'm so thankful to still have RR!!!!

Merry Christmas, indeed.

Congrats Melli on keeping RR!!! So happy to see Bama getting turned down again. First they came after our coach Spurrier, and even after he said no numerous times, they would not go away!! Glad RR stayed in WV!!!

So in the category of.....What The?? Is anyone else bugged by the coaching carousel that takes place before the Bowl Games? I know this is an age old problem but it still stinks.

This season you've got Arizona State & Miami going to Bowl Games WITH their head coaches who won't be back next year. You've got Boston College & Central Michigan going to Bowl Games without the head coaches who got them there and you've got Cincinnati going with a head coach who coached a different team to a bowl game! :-? So when the Bowl Games are played you never know the pysche of these teams going in. I've seen interim coaches go in and play soooo conservative cause they don't wanna lose the game for the kids. I've seen lame-duck coaches get no response from the team that doesn't appear to want to be there.

Too bad they can't adjust the recruiting situation so that schools can wait until AFTER the bowl games before they have to make coaching decisions regarding hiring or firing.

Oh well, nonetheless, next Tuesday I'm sure I'll tune in for the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. [smilie=whistle.gif]

I agree, but it is all about having someone lined up before signing day in February.
