Hey, I see that's August 31st.
Are you the Thursday night game on ESPN??

Oh, I kill myself!
I actually I gotta give you credit for that one because (a) it's one I hadn't heard before and (b) that one's just funny.
NYCPORT wrote:Almost as bad as losing 62-36 at home! :P
You had to see that one coming!
Yeah, I kind of expected that would be coming. :) Although, actually, the game was in Boulder.

That one hurt because the NU offense actually played well enough to win. But the CU offense just got off to such a blazing start, it was too little too late. I had to give credit to CU's offensive coordinator for coming up with a game plan that was able to take the NU defense's biggest asset (speed) and turn it against them, getting everybody overpursuing one way and then cutting the RB back across the grain. Some great game planning went into that one.

Sometimes, though, there is nothing you can do but laugh. I was at the NU game at Texas Tech in Lubbock a couple of years ago when we lost 70-10. It was such a ridiculous comedy of errors. You had to cheer for small victories--like when a pass went incomplete instead of getting picked off. :D I imagine the 70-3 game against Texas last year was kind of the same way for CU fans.

All you can do is shake your head and laugh and accept that some days you're the windshield, some days you're the bug.

BTW, football games start tomorrow!!!! Yes, I know it's NFL, and yes I know its preseason and yes I know its only the Raiders and the Eagles. But still, IT'S FOOTBALL!!!!! :D :D :D

Well now you will have less to hunt as we are down a 4th starter due to violations!

Key Bulldog Flowers suspended 2 games

Athens — Thomas Flowers has been suspended for Georgia's first two games for violating unspecified team rules, Bulldogs coach Mark Richt told the Journal-Constitution Saturday night.

Flowers was listed as a first-team cornerback. He is also the Bulldogs' top punt returner.

Flowers is one of four UGA players who will start the season on suspensions. Offensive linemen Daniel Inman, Linebacker Dannell Ellerbe and Ian Smith are also out two games (Western Kentucky, South Carolina).

I heard about that today!!! We know the feeling, remember last year, Spurrier came in and kicked off 11 players for various reasons. Luckly this year we havent had any big problems!!! Knock on wood!!

Consider yourself lucky, just within the last couple days, Nebraska has lost a starting CB for the season with a torn ACL and our supposed QB-of-the-future has gone AWOL.

I would be shocked if Mark Richt allowed this... :-?
No way!
Not many schools do this that I have seen or heard of. College football is nothing like you have seen in the movies. Class programs with class coaches follow the rules very carefully. CU will now have to fall into that category. Hawk is a good coach and a great man..............Why did he choose to go work for an Ex-Vandal coaching the Rapeloes???? :( :( :(

We play Notre Dame at home first game.... It'll be a tough game, I'm hopeful the Jackets can pull it off.

That game will be the first Saturday night game for ABC.

There are a lot of high expections for Norte Dame so you will have a good fight on your hands. At least its a home game for the Jackets.

Is that game sold out yet?
