Review : I've been a parrothead since 1973, have seen many many shows, he's getting better with age...played in new New Orleans Arena to sold out crowd 20,000, 2 encores, connected with the crowd like never before, one of the best shows i've ever seen him do...great songlist..the usuals plus "The Wino and I Know" and Randy Newman's "Louisiana"...Stehpen Stills' "Southern Cross" continues to be a crowd favorite. Review : This was my first Jimmy Buffett concert and it is an experience I will never forget. He connects with the crowd in a way no other entertainer can. I am new to the phlock but I hop to become a GOP and enjoy many more shows with Jimmy

Review : Having seen at least ten of Jimmy's shows, I would have to say this one was as great as any other I've seen. The crowd was way into it and Jimmy loved being back in NO as we loved having him back. Can't wait to see him again this May at Jazzfest. Ya'll come!

Review : This was my second Buffett show, and it was better than the one I saw in Mobile last year. Great connection with the crowd, but most of the time no one could understand anything he was saying. Club Trini played out front before JB went on, and that in itself was worth the price of admission. We got to meet Mike Utley, Robert Greenidge, Tina G., and Amy Lee. Looking forward to Atlanta next year.

Review : The show was great!! We drove twelve hours from VA TECH to see the show. Jimmy was awesome. I had front row seats in the back corner and was able to toss Jimmy my Mardi Gras beads, and he caught them. It was the best indoor show I have ever been to.

Review : Overall a good show. The sound was kinda poor though, really had trouble hearing Jimmy when he was talking. Would have liked to hear some of the ballads and at least one of the encores could have been a Buffet song. But the ones he did were great.

Review : It was great being in N.O. walking though the French Quarter and running into the Phlock here and there. This was my 4th show of the year and it was magic a usual. I'm glad that Jimmy dusted off some of his older songs. It was great to here "Ringling, Ringling" , "The Wino and I Know", and "In the Shelter" live. Did I see Marvin Gardens at the show? The acoustics in the upper section of the arena was a little suspect. The music sounded great but when Jimmy talked you couldn't understand him. Over all it was a good show. Can't wait to see him next week in WPB. See Ya There!

Review : I decided to go to this show on a whim, never being a huge parrothead or anything. But now I am definitely a fan! Awesome show, he really knows how to work a crowd. Like the others I couldn't really hear what he said, but the music was great. The "Southern Cross" cover was awesome!

Review : Jimmy was at the top of his game. He put on a great show. "The Wino and I Know" was a great surprise. This was the first time I have seen JB inside an arena (I prefer seeing him in outdoor venues sitting on the lawn). My seats were right next to the sound board and this was the worst sounding concert I have ever been to. I could not understand a word he was saying between songs. The only reason I enjoyed the songs was because I know them so well. If I did not know his music I would be greatly disappointed. I do not blame the sound guys I blame the arena. Hope the Houston show sounds better.

Review : Probably the best JB show I've ever been to. As stated by others, the acoustics in this new arena are really flat, but we enjoyed ourselves immensely anyway! Pencil Thin Mustache and Pascagoula Run really made the first half jump. Hearing Mac McAnally sing on It's My Job was a treat as well! Tina and Nadirah wowwed us on Cairo, and Southern Cross really took the second half into overdrive! Loved the encores, too! I only hope Jimmy & the Reefers don't wait too long before they come back again!!!

Review : Great show, especially since I got to go to the pre-party and meet Jimmy!! The new arena is nice, but the sound was HORRIBLE!! A friend of mine that had gone to the Billy Joel concert the night before said his sound was awesome, so it may have been the production teams fault. Seems there was not a bad view from anywhere though, even though the sound stunk.

Review : Jimmy played an excellent show Saturday night at the brand new New Orleans Arena. The first half was a nice change from the usual run nof the mill hits. The more recent album tracks were a nice touch, even though there were only four from the 1990s. Ringling Ringling was great, as was Pencil Thin, Son Of A Sailor and a great version of Boat Drinks, dedicated to the NOLA hockey team. The downside of this show was the sound - it was HORRIBLE. There was no work done at all on the sound for the back half of the arena and the volume was quite low. For the money, you'd think Jimmy would spend a little more time on making a cement arean sound a little bit better. I'm sure it sounded good on the floor (ice) but up high it was awful. Outside of that, the crowd was well behaved and aside from the handful of tunes that everyone sang on - those hits - everyone listened. Songs like Cheeseburger and Changes were done as fast as possible, perhaps Jimmy really is sick of playing these tunes everynight and wants to get them over with. I'm sure that with the acoustic break, which was excellent, and the other album tracks he played, the hits could be dropped for the next tour. Does anyone really want to hear Cheeseburger for the 19th year in a row? There are better songs. Certainly Jimmy's shows will still sell out if he doesn't play the hits and plays all the other great songs he has to choose from. And that's the point - with such a huge amount of songs to pick, he's still limiting himself based on what he thinks people want to hear - the hits. Well, they were played and they sounded good, but I don't want to hear them anymore. I'll take The Wino And I Know over Cheeseburger anyday. I Will Play For Gumbo was excellent. Too bad he only played two songs off of Beach House On The Moon.

Review : This was my 18th Buffett concert and I would put it in the top three! I, unlike the others, COULD understand Jimmy talking. I guess it did help to be 16 rows away. I thought Jimmy's voice was right on, too. He did not crack or waver at any of the high or long notes. His cover of "Louisiana 1927" by Randy Newman was awesome. I hope Jimmy considers putting this on a future album. My only disappointment during the concert was his video montage during "Changes". It did not show enough of New Orleans, but rather more of his other ports of call on his tour. The one shot I did like during the video was of the lady nice enough to show us her tan lines. Thank you ma'am and please email me!!!!

Review : Well this is the 4th time I see Reverend Jimmy. The nice thing about being a parrothead is the more you go and think you have seen it all, He comes up with something new. Being in New Orleans is always great but the whole French Quarter was nothing but PARROTHEAD BLISS. There was a Feeding Frenzy for everyone. The Coral Reefer Band was great as always and it was the best Show I have ever been to. No offense to Mick and Kieth. The Stones can put on a show anytime, but I'll always be a PARROTHEAD.

Hope he comes back soon.. next time the Superdome for a bigger show or Tad Gormley for a outdoor show... Although we always have Jazzfest. Review : The show was great....This was my second JB concert and I had a blast even though I got hold of some bad seats...But I changed that by finding some seats that nobody was sitting in and I ended up being about 50 ft away from the stage....It was awesome...It was also my first visit To New Orleans...What a crazy city....I loved it..

Review : Flew in for the weekend in the Big Easy to see ole JB playin in what was once his ole haunt. Enjoyed Mac and Fingers and Peter and Jim at the House of Blues the night before also. Saw them again at Margaritaville after the HOB show. Jimmy put on a good show at the new arena in "Nawlins" and from my 6th row seat, wasn't much to complain about. Excellent sound, and good choice of songs. Liked I Will Play For Gumbo and nice to see Ringling, Ringling back on the setlist. Was quite shocked to find out the sound was not that good in the upper seats. Great show and looking forward to April 13, 2000 gig in Dallas. Jimmy, play whatever you want for as long as you like. Thanks for the fun! Keep growing older but, not up!
