After watching Sportscenter last night and looking at the web today, apparaently the Eastern Seaboard Programming Network has decided Terrill (me first) Owens is the only player in the NFL and the only game played yesterday was the Dallas/Philly game.

GEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZ, give it a freakin' break

Since I'd mentioned it before, thought I'd finish the story.

Got back from Green Bay at 2:30 AM this morning (tip for any interested... 1200 miles in two days is about the limit for what you really oughta try. )

Packers/ Rams game yesterday was incredible. Lambeau Field is truly hallowed (NFL) ground.

Only thing that could have made it better would have been if Favre had protected the ball better and then thrown a laser into the end zone.

Still, a great day. Beautiful weather, exciting game, terrific brats. 8)

Only discomforting thing to me was the heat they're giving Favre (and pretty much everybody on the Packers team/coaching staff) on sports radio. Man... they do NOT like losing and do NOT have much patience for rebuilding. :o

Go Pack Go!

The problem people are having is that the Pack is not rebuilding. As long as Favre is starting, they are not "rebuilding". They need to know if Rodgers is the man or not, plus Green isnt getting any younger.
I LOVE seeing the Pack stink, about time after absusing the Bears for about a decade. But I think they way they are going, they either need to make some tough decisions or they will be a doormat for a while. :D

Oh and by the way, The Bears totally b**** Slapped the Bills yesterday. Tickets to Miami in future!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was kinda fun , have to admit... (41-0 )

2nd Shut Out this season....

I know , 3 and 2....but hey..after a few years ago...I'll take this..
The way Jacksonville is playing and given the way Indy is barely winning some games this season you have to like the Jags chances of making the playoffs and going far. My Steelers have dug themselves a hole they will have trouble getting out of. They'll be lucky if they even make the playoffs at this point.

To a point, I agree with you....

I've been watching the Pack this year pretty closely, and they're making some noticeable gains (rebuilding!) The defense is stepping up some, although there's still a ways to go. A.J. Hawk is going to be a Pro Bowl player.

The offense is getting better. I think Green is probably done, and everybody kind of knows it, so I'd expect a running back to be drafted in the near future. The receiving corps is improving - Jennings has a lot of upside.

Favre, Favre, Favre... (IMNSHO) he's still the best QB they've got by a long shot, and has been playing a lot smarter than last year.
If the Pack continues to improve as they have since Week 1, I can see Favre wanting another year or two- and he's physically capable.

So if I'm McCarthy, I'd press Favre for that decision as early as possible instead of playing out the maybe-I-will-maybe-I-won't thing again this year.

If he's retiring, ok, go all youth and know that Rogers will spend a large part of the next couple of years on his back. Maybe it'll pay off like it did for the Cowboys in the 90s.

If Favre returns, though, try to make a couple of big upgrades, hope for some luck, and take one more shot at the playoffs in 2007. If it works, Packers fans get a winning season and maybe can hand Rogers the keys to a machine that runs.

Either way, though, the key is knowing EARLY! (You listening Brett?)

Go Pack! And yeah, it may be a couple of years away from happening, but the mission is still to slap the Bears around as much as possible.

WHOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!

The Doncs have a great Defense and I'm pretty sure only gave up 1 TD so far this year. A very low scoring slugfest with a guy named Elim on your team is all good. Especially good for the Tequila Revenge who REALLY needs the Bronco DST to play lights out tonight to beat the Hangdaddy :D It's a very important game.

ummmmmmmm

Since Shanahan put the cuffs on The Snake, and he wasn't throwing for more than 175 yards a game and no TD's, I trade him for Chad Pennington  But my BEST Defense/Special Teams is the Broncs!

Steelers a little p*** off, they are up on Kansas City 28-0, not even halftime yet. Nice of Cincy and Baltimore to help out by losingImage

The Tequila Revenge will be counting on a great effort by the Bronco D tonight against the Raiders. We have Ziggy's Flyboys on the ropes, but NEED more points to win.

I feel pretty confident that when the game is over the Raiders STILL will not have a win [smilie=gt-happyup.gif] Much like my team in the BuffettNews Allstars league
