Theisman was somewhat good of an announcer when they had Maguire and Patrick as the other announcers.

I agree. Too bad we can't fire the owner.
You can relate to me on this one Aero. It just p*** me off to no end seeing Snyder ruin Gibbs second run as coach. Gibbs has had very little or no emotion since his return. The Dallas comeback game last year on MNF was the last time I saw him get excited. I hate to see him retire but he looks like his heart isn't in it anymore.
Until Danny goes away we will always be super bowl champs on paper and in the pre-season.
He's like Cuban in one sense that B.S.... I mean D.S. has way too much money to burn, where they part is that Cuban is willing to do listen to the people who know basketball to put the money where is needed. It doesn't look like Snyder would do it (in football).
Hell Jerry Jones as much as I hate Dallas finally took advice and stayed out of the way and they won 3 stinking super bowls afterwards. From what I have read Danny is a total p**** with an ego the size of FED-EX.
He really got under my skin when he put a memorial patch on the jerseys for his dad. Give me an effin break. I am sorry that his dad passed away but that is not worthy of a patch for an entire season. Just listening to him on TV and radio I can tell he could give a rat's ass less about the fans, just as long as he keeps pumping in the money. At least at RFK the "working fan" could go watch a game. Now it is a wine and cheese crowd and i don't mean the Lambeau fans

Yep. The owner must trust the people who run the football operations to do their jobs. Most of these owners don't have too much current football player knowledge because most have other business interests that take time.
Bob Kraft has done the same thing here in New England. He gives Bellicheck (sp??) some room for the team. Kraft will give his input but will defer to the coach.

For a coach who has a reputatin for being a disciplinarian, the Giants are about the most undisciplined team in the NFL. How can a 15 year veteran like Bob Whtfield get a personal foul for head butting a defensive lineman after the play is over? Un-f'n-believable.
Let's see, when he came in, he was going to correct a few things:
1) Penalties: Yesterday was the perfect example of how undisciplined the Giants are. Not only do they commit the penalties, but they commit them at the most unopportune times (ie. Eli is actually having himself a good drive). Even stupider than Whitfield's penalty was Burress's, who's developing a TO attitude. How stupid can you get? Disciplined? I think not.
2) Injuries: When Coughlin took over, the year before the Giants finished the season with 13 players on IR. He proclaimed injuries are a cancer and would correct them. The past two years, the Giants had similar numbers of players on IR, and although it's less this year, it doesn't include T Luke Petitgout, DE Michael Strahan, LB Carlos Emmons, CB Corey Webster, plus Tiki Barber playing with a broken thumb. Coach Coughlin, the injuries are still a cancer. Might be time for another coach to step up the chemo treatments.

My question to the coaching staff...is......why stop running the ball inside the 5.......you have a stud like Jacobs.....that no one can take down if... run him up the middle or off tackle that is his strength.....sweeps like that 4th down play isn't his running style!!....
That's another one.
They should not only use Jacobs every down from inside the 5, but use him more often. The Giants obviously knew Tiki had a broken thumb, so give Jacobs more of the workload. He's averaging 5 yards per carry and it always takes more than one guy to bring him down, so use him on 1st and 10 or 2nd and 7!!! He's going to be an everydown back next year, so let him run the ball more than in 3rd down and goalline situations!!!

I'm not Penny, but if you mean Al Wilson, he'll be fine. No long term damage. He was released from the hospital last night, after mri's and x-rays were negative. Shanahan said he still had some 'tingling' today, but he may even return to practice later this week.

I don't much care for MNF anymore with the current cast of characters

Theisman was somewhat good of an announcer when they had sewed his mouth shut..

fixed it for you..

Don't they have someone in the booth plugging something every week? If I wanted to watch celebrity interviews, I'd watch the E! channel. When I tune into MNF, I want to watch the football game.

Last night's miserable commentary has turned me away from MNF unless the Pats are playing. I used to watch almost every week. No longer.
Now, what can I so with an extra 3 or 4 hours every week?

Careful what you wish for. Arlen Spector is threatening to start hearings on the NFL/anti-trust issues. That should keep your tax dollars busy.

Not that the game meant anything but my Steelers looked decent beating Cleveland tonight. Outrushed the Browns something like 350-18.

Was good for everybody with Fast Willie Parker in the fantasy league.

Willie had a heck of a game. He was running through big holes and squeezing through little cracks.

That was NOT roughing the passer in the second quarter of the Eagles Redskins game. I was at a place that had the NFL Ticket and I saw a lot more plays in other games that were a lot worse.

Yep, there's a celebrity promo every week.

(and the Rocky deal was shear torture

)
Kornheiser is just harsh to listen to...and he and Theisman clearly don't get along, although they've smoothed things over a bit as the season has gone on. I like Mike Tirico...but it's turned into a circus...reminds me of the Dennis Miller experiment...that was awful!

Never before this year have I changed channels so much and/or watched so little of MNF.

I've known for a while the Colts weren't too solid, and that injuries would probably catch up to them (they've had a bunch...expecially on defense), but today was awful.
Even though their run defense is horrendous, I'm surprised the offense has been let off so easliy. People still talk as though the Colts offense is scoring tons of points...but they're not. They've had a ton of 3-and-outs this year. In fact I'd be surprised if they're generating even middle-of-the-pack points these days. There are big problems on both sides of the ball and there's not much sustained intensity (the problem that fatally bit them last year). Maybe they'll get the problems worked out, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them limp into and quickly out of the playoffs.
