Thanks to Best Buy selling the DVD early, I was able to snap it up on Friday and revel in it all weekend.
Curiously (going by the Buffettnews database), the first disc is from the second show and the second disc is from the first show.
The DVD does a great job of capturing the show and what an event it was. Lots of great shots of the crowd. The band sounds great and the audience was really into it.
In summary, two fins up.

Overall, the DVD is great. The footage is pretty much what we all saw on the big screens if you were there. The first disc is footage from Monday (evident by the Pascagoula shirt Jimmy is wearing). The second disc is footage from Sunday and takes place mostly at night. There was a bit of footage I wish could have made the video like "Rag Top Day" after which Jimmy said, "Now that the adrenaline has worn off, let think about where in the Hell we are". That was such an electric moment and I wish it had made the final cut. There is plenty of fan footage and great footage of the Wrigleyville bars. Harry Carey wearing the lei even made it in. So, having said all that, in the words of two other guy from Chicago, "We give it 2 thumbs way up."

As a lifelong Cubs fan, it is especially wonderful to me that Buffett's first and only concert DVD is from Wrigley Field. I was at both shows and the disc largely gets the best of both days (though I too would have liked the Ragtop Day performance).
But the DVD does capture the spirit of the moment, and the beauty of this glorious old ballpark, and this beautiful city, and I get to continue to relive memories of those two wonderful concerts!

I went and purchased it at lunchtime and will have to wait until I get home to watch it. I can't wait! I'm a bit disappointed that a shot from the bleachers didn't make the insert. But the pictures are magical. I got goosebumps and teared up when I bought this. These were my two first shows (thanks to my sweetie.....BadHabits....you're so wonderful!) and now I can revel in those memories over and over again....what a magical weekend. Thanks Mailboat for getting this to us! Thanks Jimmy for making it happen!

Wonderphul!!! It was so nice to sit down and watch a phull length Buffett DVD, been hoping phor one phor years!
What a magical moment it seemed like...I loved all the extra footage, the bonus materials, and the phamous Margraitavision shots of JB surfing, phlying, sailing, and all those phun things. And it was espically nice to have Last Mango In Paris on DVD.
I thought the DVD was wonderphuly done, a great concert philm. Lots of great shots of the band, they were definitley at the top of their game.
THANKS JIMMY!!!

Very, Very Good. I'm quite impressed. The 5.1 Dolby sounds great. The camerawork is top notch, great crowd shots as well as giving quite a bit of face time to all the band members. The extras are just icing on the cake. (especially the time-lapse load-in) Oh yeah, the music is pretty good, too.
BTW: I picked it up at F.Y.E. for $19.99 with a $5.00 rebate offer. An excellent package for $14.99, I must say!

Same here. Nothing at Fred Meyer or Music Warehouse. I'll call Borders tonight and put it on hold for tomorrow if they have it.

It's a lot better than I expected.
I still prefer Live By The Bay for a concert video but this one is a very pleasant suprise.

This is my first Buffett DVD purchase, and I must say I have really enjoyed the show. Everyone seems to be having so much fun. All the flying balls and dancing and singing. I have been jamming all day to this DVD (Of course I ripped the audio so I can jam via my Ipod)

I just got the DVD today and watched all of it this evening. I was blown away! The video and sound quality, Jimmy's singing, the way it showcased the Coral Reefers with closeups, and the shots of the audience really made you feel like you were there.
Besides all that, I was very impressed with the video editing, style, pacing, etc. This DVD set should qualify for some kind of award.
Did everyone watch the time-lapse of the field set up? Amazing!

I thought the time-lapse was fascinating. I was at the last game before they started the set-up and you could tell they were just waiting for all of us to clear out of the ballpark so they could start--an amazing amount of work!

Got the DVD today and watched it this afternoon. I was very impressed by the footage of the DVD -- very UNIMPRESSED by the sound. The concert sounds like a bootlegged DVD...serously. Alot of the band is muted and I can barely here the sax. They could have done a better job on the sound quality.
Live By The Bay still leads. How come they couldn't match the sound quality to Live By The Bay. You notice a big difference in audio between the two.

I think it's great. The thing about Jimmy is that he genuinly looks like he's having a good time. You can't help but sit there and smile.
I was happy to see Woman Going Crazy on Caroline Street on there as well as a few others.
I also listen to him live from NJ last night on Radio M and again, they guy is just having fun. And when you have a formula that stupidly simple, it can't not but work.
