BUFFETT FAN NEEDS VOTES!!!
To all of my Parrothead friends.
I need your votes
I've been a Buffett since the mid 80's.
I actually met him once in Key West on a street corner and backstage in Camden 3 years ago.
The reason I am posting this is that I'm am one of 5 finalists in a contest where I can win a trip to Oktoberfest in Germany.
The link is www.herestobeer.com
Once you open the site, open the window on the top right.
A new window will open with videos from the five finalists.
I am the one on the far right.
The person with the most votes wins!
(I know Buffett fans are strong in number and you guys and gals can probably put me over the top.)
The voting ends this Monday August 7th.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Bill
See the origianl e-mail below:
I have been picked as a finalist in the Anhueser-Busch "Here's to Beer" sweepstakes and I need your vote.
In 50 words or less, I was asked to record a video of who I would like to have a beer with.
My answer was the man who stood in front of a Chinese tank in Tiananmen Square in 1989.
Remarkably, it was chosen as one of the 5 finalists. (I’m on the far right)
My video, along with the other 4 finalists, will be posted on the "Here's to Beer" website starting on Monday July 24th thru August 7, 2006.
The person who receives to MOST votes will win a trip to Oktoberfest in Munich Germany and $3,500 in cash…which will be used to pay the taxes.
Please visit http://www.herestobeer.com
Enter your birth date, follow the link to the contest at the top right of the page and then vote for me.
You can only vote once per e-mail address, but I need all the votes I can get!!!!
Please forward this e-mail to you friends & family so they can vote for me too!
Thanks in advance for your support.
I will let you know how I make out.

OK! I just voted for you! I actually did like yours the best.
And now, I hope it's not the last time we see you here on BN! (You sound like you might have some good stories yourself, about meeting Jimmy!)

I NEED YOU VOTES - THANKS TO THOSE WHO DID
Voting ends on Monday at 5pm.
I nor the other contestants know how many votes we have, so all I can do is try to get as many as I can.

To follow up ith my brushes with Jimmy...
I met Jimmy on Duval street in 1988 almost in front of were Margaritaville is.
He was standing on the corner looking "business like" talking with another man.
A quick hello and a handshake and I was on my way.
I think any more than that would have been instrusive under the circumstances.
Then in 2004 I was forntunate enough to meet Jimmy backstage in Camden, NJ.
We were told to stand on the loading dock next to limo bus and a 48ft trailer and "wait" for Jimmy. I think he was taking a nap before the show???
After a 10 minute wait, Jimmy seemed to appear our of nowhere and posed for 2 pictures. (3 pictures = NOT allowed)
With less hair than the first time I met him (me too) he shook hands with us and told us to "enjoy the show."
He also commented that he liked a "straw" hat that one of the people in my group was wearing.
Then we were pushed into the "green room" where we enjoyed Negra Modelo and a bunch of appetizers with the Coral Reefer Band (and others)until the show was ready to start..
It didn't matter about the strict camera rules, it was lost during the post concert party near the Marina.
I think it's in the Delaware river. (Disposable cameras are just that.)
But, Along with my ticket stub, I do have the autographed Corona T-shirt from that night. (it's a good thing I wore it home!!!!!)
