i soooooooo agree. when he receives it, he may not want to look at it for a while because of all this s**t. it's been spoiled. it's makes me sad.
I'm hoping if he does read here, he doesn't have time to read 34 pages of our rambling....

I don't think it's spoiled, though, Carol. I just think, as you said, we all need to chill, and let the delivery take its course....

A few people are upset, but I'd like to think most of us appreciate the hard work that went into putting the book together and delivering it, and recognize that sometimes things happen that are out of our control....

I've had faith from the beginning that the book would make it's way to Jimmy when the time is right.

ooooh....this is my fantasy: he gets the book and takes it to MOTM 2007 where, whilst performing for us on stage, he brings it out and asks all BN members to a special meeting so he can see how cuh-razy nice we are in person. yeah, THAT'S the ticket !!!! well, heck, as long as we're in fantasy-land, let's have him fly us all to St. Barth for a private concert.... 8) :P [smilie=superkewl.gif]

Pleasin & Teasin wrote:Ok, lets not call it 'secrets' as that seems to bring forth blank stares from the committee.

You have told us what you think we need to know. At this point, we need to know much more...we need to know everything you know except specific names (tho, given the success of things, i doubt anyone would ever try to follow this path, so knowing names wouldnt hurt anyone either)

For instance, using A, B, C, or 1, 2, 3 instead of names, what exactly has happened to our book??? Did A get it to B? where and when, and if not, why not? Did B get it to C? same questions....and so on, along the chain of possession......did someone fall into a snow drift or get drunk and run off with the maid...what went wrong, at what point???

Do you know who has the book now? Do we know whether it is safe?? what contacts have you had with whoever has the book? what were they? when was the last one? what explanations if any have you gotten?

In other words, stop worrying about those folks and think of US...and tell us what has happened, what is happening, and what your best guess is as to what will happen---enough of 'we know whats best, children'...and some information.

You folks did a great job getting the book assembled and we are ALL VERY APPRECIATIVE OF THAT!!! You have the thanks and gratitude of every one of us. We know how hard you worked, at a diffiult time of year, to make this happen, and we have nothing but praise and thanks for each of you!!!!

With all due respect, however, this is something else....this was not just your project....it needed and involved everyone of us who contributed. and we deserve some answers at this late date.....no one is going to want to use this particular chain another time, given its notorious lack of success to date.

.....what the heck is happening???
I've been watching this topic for a while and keepin' my mouth shut about it but this one tops it. Some people are just plain ruining this. You should be nothing but thankful and quiet about it like all good children should.

Now I wouldn't mind draggin' Rosie thru the mud tho.
54 concerts and counting......

P&T...I see you edited your original post and you posted a few new question or the same question rephrased. I think we have answered you questions. WE have answered MULTIPLE times as to what is happening....It is with person B...we have NO CONTACT with person B....to our knowledge...Person B is awaiting a time to give it to Jimmy...

Secondly, I have to say, there is no way that everyone could have been included on every little decision in the process. Having worked with groups that did this before, it would have resulted in mass chaos...

And I would say that the "particular chain" has been successful....and I KNOW the person/people that helped us with this are reading and I want to say THANK YOU TO THEM ...for going out of their way to help us as a group...

After keeping quiet myself on the boards about this, I will now add my 2 cents, for the really important reason sunseeker mentioned above.

Thank you to those who have helped, and are still helping, us here and know that there are many here who appreciate all efforts that have been put forth as a result of this project.

That thank you goes for all of the organizers, assemblers, and the transporters.

Nobody should be made to feel that they didn't do a good job with this - a great job has been done by all along the way.
