I'm falling asleep... what'll wake me up?

For some reason, I'm sleepy... waaayyyy sleepy...
I keep getting up and walking around, but it's not helping.
I no longer consume caffeine in liquid forms, and already tried chocolate to no avail.
A nap isn't an option since I'm at work.
Can anyone suggest anything else I should try to pep me up?

Can you be more specific?

Try water.... Really.... If you're a little dehydrated, it makes you sleepy...

Yikes...this is where I'd have just a bit of a very cold Diet Coke (e.g. 4-6oz.)...it's a rarity for me but I do still do it on those instances like the one you're going through today.
Otherwise, ice water...turn the temp down...perhaps a short power nap....?
Good luck!

Not the kind you can get at your local pharmacy.

You could think about paying a $1300 repair bill on the car.... It's certainly keeping ME awake this afternoon.....

Laughing out loud gave me a tiny boost!
And I've been sucking down quite a bit of water, and spashing some on my cheeks... still nothing.

Apply pressure. The next time your eyelids start to droop, massage the muscles between your thumb and index finger. This is an acupressure point that’ll increase circulation and make you feel alert. Rubbing the base of your skull or tapping your fingers on your forehead also provide an instant pick-me up.
Peel an orange or pop an Altoid. Why? Because citrus and mint aromas help you stay focused. Studies also show that these scents reduce anxiety and frustration. Which’ll come in handy when you’re listening to a co-worker or classmate ask the same question for the 20th time.
