Nascar Fans I need your help

Post by thebeachbumm33 »

My wifes parent's anniversary is coming up, we wanted to purchase them tickets to the races in Dover. Are there any special seats one should attempt to get, the way it's set up is you pick the section you want and if anything is available in that section you can purchase them :-?

Thanks

Dover is a great track, not really a bad seat in the place. That said, if you can, get seats on the front stretch (back stretch is 2nd choice, turns as a last resort), as high up as possible.

I can't speak for Dover....but at many tracks, the seats down low only give you a limited view of the track. The infield buidings usually block out the backstretch and the you only see half the race. It seemed weird to me when I first started going to races that seats up high were the most expensive (considering I spend forever seeking close up seats to Jimmy shows I attend)....however, I would not suggest anything lower than half way up the grandstand.

i would go for the red section... you have a better view of the track that way.

i took my mom to atlanta in march. we got public suite tickets and parking for just a little more (like $100) then if we bought the tickets by themselves... it included food and drinks for the entire weekends and cold pit passes.

cold pit passes are the ones that let you on pit row when they are not on the track for practice or the race but not the garage area. hot passes let you down there whenever and you can go to the garage (which is what i want next time)

the cold passes got us down during practice so we got to see some of the drivers walking around outside the garage area gate and i got some cool pictures of the cars going in and out of the garage.

they came with our suite. some places sell them and others dont. i would call dover and ask.
