Which Vegas show?

K all...
Here's my dilemna.... I had originally planed to go to Vegas for my birthday - the 21st. But now that Dave Matthews will be playing on the 27th in Vegas, the beau has mentioned going the next weekend instead. Now, I pose this question to all of you. What should I do? Is being in Vegas for my birthday that important? I mean, I could always continue the celebration for an entire week. I do already have my birthday shirt for the concert... It's cute. Says on the front "Kiss me! It's my birthday" and on the back "I'm growing older but not up!" and i guess I could still wear it on the concert.
So should I sacrifice being in vegas on my birthday in order to make the beau happy so we can see Dave Matthews (who I'd love to see as well?) or should I just say screw it, we're going for my birthday?
Please advise!!!
P.S. - mods if this is in the wrong forum, please move!

Um, you're on the list for 10/21, and I don't think that can be edited, so you're stuck. Plus, you can't wear a birthday shirt on a day that isn't your birthday, you'd be breaking the law, and YOU can't do that.
Plus, hello, LAST MAN STANDING...I know you hadn't listed it among your plans, YET, but you were going to.
Don't you already have your plane tickets, and I know you've got your reservations at Hooters.
Plus 10/28 already has a birthday guest, you'd have to share. You don't like to share, I can tell (I'm reaching here!!)

hahaha... remember, I am in law school... I can miss a few classes but not too keen on missing a whole week of class! gotta study some time...
I checked to see if i can get the following weekend off from work...
Now it's up in the air....
Why do I have to like Dave Matthews soooo much? HAHAHAHA
And if I do go the 2nd weekend, in addition to seeing Kev in a speedo, I can celebrate my birthday for 9 days! how fun is that!
I'll let y'all know my decision soon I'm sure... But in the meantime, keep the feedback coming!!! It will help me decide!

Yes, I remember the law school days ...don't miss that any! Would it help if i told you my sole purpose for going the 21st was to help celebrate your birthday???

10/21 is the choice for me as there is no way I can be in vegas during game 6 and 7 of the WS. No guarantee the Yanks will be there but with having playoff ticket options, I have to leave myself open. Games 1 and 2 are a little easier for me to miss.....

You do have a problem on your hands.
I'll be there for the 10/21 show because of all the plans around that weekend. However, the Dave Mattews and Tim Reynolds show is a unique experience, especially if you have close seats. When it is just Dave and Tim, it's a whole different show, as you probably know. D&T don't play together as often as they used to, so you may need to check it out.
As much fun as we all have at Buffett shows, they all tend to be the same. They are great, but overall the same. I know Vegas is a bit different then others, but concert wise, the 10/21 show won't be much different then the 10/28 show.
If you weren't planning to go to the LMS party, I'd go to see D&T and Buffett.

Not saying this just to sell tickets to LMS (although I wouldn't mind if it had that effect)....but it will likely be difficult to get tickets to Dave & Tim unless you are attending Vegoose.
Those who buy tickets to the festival have first opportunity at the "late night" shows involved in this event (including the D&T show). With about 40,000 people going to Vegoose, I'll be surprised if there's many tickets left for the public to grab after this pre-sale.
One could always buy a ticket to Vegoose....however, that seems like a costly thing to do if you are going to miss Saturday's show at Sam Boyd (still might be cheaper than scalper tickets though).
Again, I'm not trying to be a downer....just want everyone to realize how ticketing works for this show (meanwhile, tickets are available now for Last Man Standing....just $25 each!)

A bit ot, Dean do you know if Vegoose will be selling one day tickets to the festival this year? The last time I read the web site it said they did not plan on doing this but I can't remember if they sold one day passes last year or not.
Back to whether Tracy should come to Vegas on the w/e of 10/21 or 1028 my vote is for 10/28 if you can't do both.

IIRC, Vegoose sold one day passes last year to locals only. I haven't heard anything as to what their plans are this year.....however, I wouldn't expect them to do anything about single day passes (even if its to locals only) until mid-October at the earliest.

yeah.. that's what i was thinking.... maybe we'll wait to make the final decision until after the tickets go on sale to the public... if there are none to be had we will go the 21st......
i hate making decisions.... i'm far too indecisive for this...
