The last time that I was at Blossom (Cleveland Orchestra show) one of the Blossom employees was telling me that Jimmy refuses to play at Blossom anymore due to something with the area police. Does anyone know anything about that or is it just a rumor?
Very true

Buffett wont play in Cleveland anymore(at least at Blossom) because of the security BS the fans were going through. DUI checkpoints on the way IN to the show. This was making MANY people miss sometimes up to an hour of the show. I had this happen to a friend of mine
I refused to go there anymore because Blossom is ridiculous. They pull crap like that then charge $10 a beer(not kidding). Jimmy needs to come to The Q or something. I dont know why he shafts us year to year

I hate Blossom...almost gave up on going to any outdoor shows until I discovered that not all venues were SO bad. That ride in to the place is about the pits.
However, I can really quibble with the beer prices...that is really about average for most concerts from what I've experienced. They are no worse then anywhere else.

I saw Jimmy in '04 (last time at Blossom in Cleveland) and the sound on the lawn was horrible- but I think they may have fixed it since. The drive in is horrible because of the back country roads- easy to spot tailgaters.
How did Cleveland go from 2 shows a year in the 80’s and 90’s to a three year dry spell?

Yeah they set up dui check points andthey police the parking lot so much that you can not have a good time and another reason is something about Dean Cohen not being very trutheful and having a shady personal life. Sorry inside joke

Actually I don't know if you've ever seen jimmy indoors but I look at it like this "its better then no jimmy at all but its still not good" he was not intended for indoors.

My issue was the FOUR port a pots for the entire freakin lot.
And ~30 dates a year, 50 states- Jimmy skips a lot of places. Why deal with any venue that won't bend over backwards for you?
