Calendar Photo

Post by conched »

Does anybody know about this photo on the new 2007 Calendar? Was it taken for Beach House on the Moon?

Hi, Conched!

Don't know, but it reminds me of "The Song of the Ocean" in his Salty Piece of Land book.

Are most of the pictures pretty decent in the calendar? I have been looking for a fairly good sized, detailed picture of Jimmy for a drawing. Will I get any of those from this calendar? :D

Well, of course, this 2007 Calendar front is special to me, because of the conch shell. I don't think I ever noticed it before anywhere.

I think Jimmy's eyes have looked tired in photos lately, but maybe I just worry about him getting enough REST and RELAXATION!! Ha!

As you can see in this photo, his eyes are squinting from the brightness, I suppose.

A lot of the shots in the calendar are not face forward, and he wears sunglasses or those Harry Potter glasses in a few.

There is one page with very good photos of Toby Keith and George Strait, but Jimmy has on his aviators. It is a super photo of him tho!

One photo that will probably mean a lot to MOTM goers is the November photo. The photo captures one of those looks we all know--kinda like the court jester look. It is a great close-up shot while he is performing at MOTM.

Heck, any Buffett calendar is worth the $12.95, eventhough some of the shots are some we have all seen on the sailboat, in the truck, and even some of Savannah when she was quite young.

One I really enjoyed is from The First of the Stadium shows, when Jimmy opened for the Eagles and is on stage with Tim Krekel and Harry Dailey.

Fins up to Tom Corcoran for always doing a fine job on these.

Does anyone know when the first calendar was made? I love each and every one of em!

Pencil Thin, Some of the photos from the Bama Breeze video are quite good for what you need if you can capture some of those.

Shrimper boots...so there's method to the madness, but it ain't pretty. He obviously needed some footwear for his "moonscape" shot, but really....  :-?
