I think I'd like a nice wool peacoat actually. And a pair of boots. There's a sweet pair of boots in the catalogue that I want but they are almost $300.![]()

HMmm...I'd think with the AF academy and bases close you'd have a good army/navy surplus store...Tulsa only has reserve and Guard units...buffettbride wrote:I've had no luck finding one in good shape AND in my size 2nd hand/army surplus.Moonie wrote:buffettbride wrote:Brown Eyed Girl wrote:You're not looking for a new coat already, are you?buffettbride wrote:You should see how excited I got the other day when the "Cabela's for Women" catalogue came in the mail the other day.Ohhhhh the controversy!!

I love mine, it's all the more special because it's government issue...alas, no where to wear it here....

When it goes from full to crescent...I move in and out of tune...Everlasting Moon....

OMG! Everyone wore those in the late 60s early 70s! They get very comfortable with continued wear!buffettbride wrote:Oops! I was wrong, just under $200...
For some reason I thought the catalogue had them listed for more.

Well, I have a 9 year old little girl who HAD to have for-real saddle shoes for school this year, so I am sorely becoming an expert on WHITE shoe polish.ragtopW wrote:buy good polish. the toes get creamed in a hurry..buffettbride wrote:I'm torn between the brown or black ones. I'm actually looking forward to "boot" season in Colorado. Fall here is probably my favorite season. I like it just cool enough to have to wear a cute sweater, but not a coat.Moonie wrote:we wear shorts until January...some wear them year 'round.![]()

She and her daddy planted daffodil and tulip bulbs in the front yard today. It was very sweet.
They are going to make a sign this winter: "Daddy's Daffodils, Tori's Tulips"
And I got to be the hero tonight when I found the Missing Math Homework!
