How many cookbooks do you own?

Including a large variety of brand-specific pamphlet-type ones, I have 28! :o :o And I almost never cook, so apparantly I buy these things thinking you just add water and meals cook themselves or something! :o

I have a George Foreman grill cookbook... haven't seen that thing in years.
I have a Wok cookbook... seriously, over 15 years since I've had a wok.
A couple microwave cookbooks... I've never "cooked" anything in a microwave, I just use it to heat stuff up. (mostly popcorn)
The New Dieters Cookbook... quite certain I never cracked the binder on that one.
The Official Fajita Cookbook... I've never made them from scratch.
I could go on and on! As a matter of fact, at a glance, I only know I've actually used 5 of the 28. (Including my phavorites... Phruitcakes in the Kitchen, and Phruitcakes in the Kitchen 2!! :D :D )

So, what do I do with the other 23? The obvious answer is to find them better homes, but where? And can I actually part with them? Now that I cleaned out the cupboard and organized them, they're not bothering anyone!

I probably own at least 50. I'm a terrible cook and get very intimidated by cookbooks. I look at the books, sometimes buy ingredients and actually make about 20 recipes ever. Sometimes I open up the books and cooking magazines which I have over 50, and give myself a self-induced case of cookbook guilt.

Love to read cookbooks, though I don't use most of them. On the other hand, if you get one good recipe out of a cookbook, it is probably worth having.

I have a lot of cookbooks and probably three or four that I use.....for the most part, I make stuff up. I have all of my Mom and my Grandma's recipes, I do use those a lot. I love reading my G'ma's recipe cards....says things like lard - the size of an egg......no measurement, just eyeball it! She was a fabulous down home farm woman cook!

I love to cook, but I only have one and I've never used it. I make things up as I go along, from what I have in the house. And I NEVER measure anything. But everyone always seems to enjoy the food, so I guess I'm doing something right.

I don't have a ton of books...a few pamphlets, though. I have one book I bought for who knows what reason, because I'll never cook from it. I do cook once in a while. For some it is truly an art and they are great artists...me, I draw stick people.

We're in the 11-15 range I bet. I'd have to count them at home.

We use them all at least once a year, and 2-3 of them pretty regularly.

I'm a crappy cook.

Think Mom has the Betty Crocker one too.. remember that, and her collection of index cards with recipes on them.

I probably have 5. I use none. I usually just wing it.

We have a couple of "family cookbooks" that were put together by the Church, and I have a recipe box and that's it.

I don't buy cookbooks, because I know I won't use them.
