Parrothead Jim -
Any chance that you can hold off on posting upcoming songs? Even if it's the same setlist as the previous show or you have a preview of tonight's setlist, it would be nice to be surprised (if there are any coming up).
Just asking. Thanks.

El Guapo learned many years ago from his mentor, Dr. Watanabe, this axiom: "just as now two spine arike, no two pillow should be arike"

same goes for Jimmy: no two setlist should be arike, but dey is all the same! change the list! play something different!

el guapo out!

Chris: Can you explain RMTV? Do you actually see pics of the concert in progress? How do you get this? I doubt my 6 year old computer has this capability, but could you tell me anyway? We saw the cameraman last night during the show, (which by the way was fantastic)could that have been it? Wow.

jgirl65:

RMTV is basically a window that displays video captures from the cameras at the various venues. You can get to it by going to www.radiomargaritaville.com, click on Tune In, and then about halfway down the left hand side of the page you should see a link for RMTV. This will open up a new window, which is where the pictures are displayed. If you can get streaming audio, you should be able to do this. It is not a huge graphical feat to accomplish, just a bunch of video captures sent out to the web on about 1 minute intervals.

I have heard a few rumors that RMTV is going to be upgraded to provide full dtreaming video of each concert, but nothing to confirm that yet.

I live in chicago and always attend the back to back world shows. last year he changed the second concert consideralby even though it was past the 50% mark of the tour. I feel he can keep the same core but a little variation would be nice for these east coast pheads.

First off, the show was fantastic! In all my years, this was the best I've ever seen Jimmy play!

Let's talk security! It was our first time at Nissan, and this one security guard who was standing near me during the concert was like a gestapo. I felt like I was at MPP. LOL

Nowhere did we see that photos couldn't be taken, and seeing many many flashes going off all throughout the concert I started taking a few photos of Jimmy since we were so close. I got caught taking a photo of what...the lawn doing FINS! Maybe kind of stupid on my part, but it's not like I'd sell or put the darn pics on the internet! The guard said that Jimmy wants no pictures and actually took and destroyed my film (destroying about 10 personal photos that I had from another event). Then he tried to take the battery out of my camera, what an a**! Then he told us the ticket said you couldn't take pictures, we pulled out our ticket and nothing. Are there different rules for the ORCH section than others?

At any rate, the thunder storm was pretty cool, and when it cleared up there was the most gorgeous double rainbow. The concert was delayed an hour, but all worth it!

Phins UP!

Getting ready to leave work early to head to our hotel in Virginia from Bethlehem PA... will be up bright and early tomorrow morning to join the rest of the parrotheads on the asphalt beach for some tailgating prior to another unforgetable evening. See you there!

I've listened to Jimmy for over 22 years and have been to many of his concerts. This was my 1st at Nissan. It was worth the rain delay. the double rainbow was great. I feel he could drop WDWGDAS.
Put in Havana Daydreamin'. The band misses Fingers. Island was great along with Chanson Pour Les Petits Enfants. I think he has a new classic
with Southern Cross. His vocals were really smooth. i want to bring my children for Sat.
Phins up!!!!!!!

I wish he'd drop Southern Cross myself, but that's only because he has so many great songs of his own that I'd much rather hear. I'll see my 29th Buffett show tomorrow night but I haven't heard He Went To Paris since '93 maybe. I admit I haven't seen him since '96. I saw him 17 times in 4 years, I think I overdosed, haha. Has he done HWTP in the years I missed him? I apologize for being so out of touch, but what happened to Fingers?

Dave -- hit the 'tree view' & you'll find many, many discussions about this. Apparently decided not to tour with the CRB this summer for personal reasons. Clint Black filling in when available from his own tour. Much controversy.....

Dave, I don't know the last time he played HWTP, but I know that I saw him do it last year at the first Camden show. Check the set lists to see when else he has played it, but it doesn't seem like he'll be doing it this year. Have fun at the show tonight, I was at thursday, great show and the rainbow was amazing!!

What a bunch of whiners! Everybody seems to have their own idea of the perfect show. Guess what? Your ideas may not be mine. I say let Jimmy decide and just go and enjoy it. If it's so painful, save your money next time and burn a CD of all your favorites. You are just like the people who call sports shows and tell the coach how to run his team. If you're so smart why are you working at WalMart(etc)? SHEESH!!

Play what you want Jimmy! I'll be there and singing along!
