Yep......it's ophicial! Jimmy will be back in Santa Barbara on 10/19!!! :D :D :D I can honestly say that this is one of the best shows I've been to! With the venue being as intimate as it is, it's an awesome chance to be with only 4499 other parrotheads while watching Bubba play! Tickets go on sale on Monday! The pre-party is in the works as we speak since there is no tailgating allowed. Last year, it was packed while we danced until the busses showed up to take us to the Bowl! It really was an awesome time! I'll post more details as we finish the planning!

Here's what's posted on the SB Bowl's website:

Jimmy Buffett
and the Coral Reefer Band
Thursday, October 19 - 7:00PM
Reserved Floor and Preferred $185.50
G,H,I : $185.50
D,E,F: $105.50
A,B,C: $52.50
PLEASE NOTE:All on sales at the Santa Barbara Bowl Box Office are subject to a lottery. No line ups prior to Sunday 9/17 at 8:00 a.m. **4 ticket limit per person* * Tickets available for purchase: Monday, September 18 11:00AM

OK......here's a few more details for all you inquiring minds out there.....

The pre-party will again be at Sharkeez on State St. We are thinking of starting the party earlier this year.....probably around 1:00 or so due to the high demand we had last year. This years entertainment will be Unkle Monkey who is a great band who plays all over the area. We will be having both a raffle and a silent auction again this year with some phantastic prizes! We will also be having the busses from Sharkeez to the Bowl and back so that everyone can get to and from the concert safely! We are in the process of setting up all the details on the club website but, unfortunately, our webmaster is in the middle of moving out of state so.......hopefully we'll get that up soon!

I'll pass on any info as I receive it. Last year we had a BLAST and this year will be even better!

Don't worry Dutch Harbor PH.....I'll come through! :D Are you going to bring your lighthouse hat with you?

UPDATE:

Since we are having a few issues with our website, I wanted to pass along the bus info. Bus tickets are $10/pp and REQUIRE A RESERVATION! Reservations must be made by October 17.

Send your name and the names of the others that you are making a reservation for to our VP, Janet at bananit@gmail.com.

You have 2 options for payment. You can either PayPal your payment to our treasurer, Steve at clean@sbbm.com or you can send a check to:

SBPHC
P.O. Box 1403
Santa Barbara, CA 93102

No tickets are needed to get into the pre-party however, this year we are requesting a $3 donation made at the door to go directly to our charities. We will be having the raffle/silent auction as well as a concert-wear store in case you need an extra hula skirt or lei! The party will begin at 1:00 and will wrap-up around 5:00-something in order to load everyone on the buses and be off for the Bowl!

Hopefully, we'll get this info posted on our website ASAP with a Paypal link. Feel free to send the money to Steve through his e-mail address via PayPal or send a check to the PO BOX. Just make sure to e-mail Janet and let her know how many and the names of the people in your party!

Nope....NO tailgating at the Bowl and there isn't a parking lot at Sharkeez either. That area of Santa Barbara is built with some public parking lots that you can use to get to all the attractions on State Street but most businesses don't even have their own parking lots.

This show is completely different than most in a couple different ways..... The first is the size. Capacity is only 4500 or so which makes the show very intimate. Every seat in the house is a good seat! Second, there is no tailgating which is a bummer......but the exact reason why we put this party together. Last year, we started at 2:00.....this year it's 1:00 and then it's jump on the bus and go. This will eliminate trying to find parking at or around the Bowl and will let you drink at the party and arrive safely at the Bowl. Be prepared for the walk at the Bowl though.....it's one gigantic hill that you have to walk up. Last year, they were pretty strict in taking water in (or what may look like water)! I, however, smuggled in both my "special" water and my camera.

The crowd to me was not as into the show as they are at other places. It seemed like some people didn't understand the "no sitting" rule at a Buffett show. Maybe it's people who have season tickets and go just because they have the tickets. Maybe it's the size of the venue.....I dunno?!?! I know I had a good time though!

I will post when the PayPal link is up. We're hoping to have all of this done very shortly!

Interesting.....Maui was the same way.....about 4000+ people but lots of retirees and folks that seemed to think they were going to a string quartet recital in the park...they were offended that there was a "Buffett" weirdo who wanted to dance in front of them (Or perhaps it was the sight of seeing a 6'2" guy in a cocnut bra and grass skirt that offended them.... [smilie=blush.gif] [smilie=blush.gif] [smilie=blush.gif] ) Oh well! So I guess I can expect to offend more in SB!!!!! :D :D :D

OK so sign me up for 4 on the bus.......!!!!

Well CRC is there now. Shame Jimmy isn't doing the show this week. He could have avoided that little fine over in France.
