Gomez on the new album?

On the thread about the new album in the notes it states:

(c) The album will feature Mark Knopfler, Gomez, Jake Shimabukuro, Bill Payne, and Sonny Landreth. The album was recorded in Key West, Muscle Shoals, and London. (information obtained from an interview will Jimmy Buffett on the Steve Dahl show)

Is this the band Gomez or someone named Gomez?
I really hope it's the band.

Does anyone have any info on this?

I'm pretty sure it's the band. Jimmy had phoned in to Radio Margaritaville one time, and he asked if they were playing Gomez, he really liked them. (he was talking about the band)

Oh man is that good news. I'm going to see them in the Ryman tonight.

My friends and I have been listening to this band since'99 and I've had some great memories to their music.

If you haven't heard these guys it's worth the time to check'em out.

I cannot believe it. Buffett and Gomez collaborating on a album......
