Mr. Clinton's losing it

Well, that was some interesting footage... :o

Figured while we're being political here lately, I'd just add fuel to the fire.

Sounds to me like Bill's not feeling too good about his "legacy"...

Even from my rightwing seat, though, I'm not blaming him (too much) for 9/11. This country just wasn't in that mindset back then - all feeling too good about the dotcoms, and very few of us could even have imagined a tragedy like Sept. 11.

So... IMHO, the second-guessing of old Bill isn't really serving any purpose. Still, I don't think he's helping himself any with this kind of (VERY) unpresidential behavior. [smilie=umm.gif]

Fox News is a p***-poor network. That little p***-ant disrespected Former President Clinton and had to sit and pay for it. Maybe he's used to talking to Bush who doesn't have the intelligence to back up his argument like Clinton can.

I have always liked Bill Clinton, but there is nothing in your post I disagree with.

Bill, shut yer yap and get back to doing whatever you're supposed to be doing.

Fox News is the number 1 cable news network. They must be doing something right. Clinton should stick to doing his interviews on the Daily Show where Jon Stewart can kiss his a%$. Clinton was rude and combative from the start of that interview. He did that interview because Murdock asked him to. When it was over I heard Clinton went off on his staff as well. What a nice guy.

It's just a bumper sticker...hoping to add some humor...

I do believe at that time, we were NOT at "war" so that would equal (relative) peace to me.
I toured the Clinton Library just this weekend...one of the most impressive things I saw there was a piece of the Berlin wall...funny how a chunk of concrete could generate that much emotion...
(not that Clinton had anything to do with the Berlin wall coming down...)

Was Monica's blue dress on display in that library?

No. They wouldn't let them put it there.
It's actually across the street on display. (No kidding).

Everyone has a piece of the Berlin wall, there is one in the Nixon Library, there is even a piece in the men's room of a Vegas casino. Its funny that the most impressive thing in Clintons library is something that he had nothing to do with. Kinda puts his whole tenure into perspective.

What I find interesting about the Clinton interview is that Chris Wallace lost control of the interview and had no effective response to Bill Clinton's points about the media giving this administration a pass on the WMDs and many other things claimed in the run up to the invasion of Iraq.

As to President Clinton's legacy, only time will tell. If one were to subscribe to the prevailing view of many on the right, it will be a dark and dreary legacy since President Clinton is responsible for all that went wrong during his terms in office, as well as all that has gone wrong in the two terms of President George W. Bush. Which is giving President far more influence then I think he has.

If you are from the left, I suspect that you have the view that his legacy will be one of wonder and light and that he didn't make mistake and have failings.

If, on the other hand you are in the middle of the road, you don't really care what his legacy is because you are too busy trying to stay alive today and aren't worrying about what the future generations think of a former President.

Just my two cents. BTW that is all my opinion is worth since that's all anyone will pay for it.

it's about time someone called him out for all his bumbling idiocies and the absolute fact that under his administration we had more chances to get Osama than we have since and his administration didn't have the balls to get the guy. But at least he admitted he was a failure, it's better than Bush.

A must-read account of the Clinton efforts, and missed efforts, is well-detailed by Richard Clarke in Against All Enemies.

Clarke was the first Director of the Counter-Terrorism Security Group from '92 to '03
and worked prior to that for the Secretaries of State under Bush I and Reagan.
There are very few others better-versed in assessing the era of modern-age terrorism than Clarke.

He pulls no punches in his viewpoints going back to before Marine barracks attack in Beirut in the early '80's all the way up through his thoroughly frustrated resignation from W's staff in '03.

There's plenty of blame to go around, that's for sure! :-?

...but, also,
Chris Wallace has turned into a punk tabloid reporter since he joined Faux News :x
Clinton just completed a remarkable week of good will with his Global Initiative,
and Wallace (and Faux) was the only one CLASSLESS enough to try to ambush him using the Republican's only "worthy" platform right now... fear-mongering over terrorism

nice work there, Chrissy... your Dad would be so proud :-?

I laughed out loud when Clinton said: "You've got that little smirk on your face, you think you're so clever..."   Go get 'em, Bill!

Too bad elected officials can't say what's really on their minds until they're out of office, it sure would make politics a lot more interesting.
