At first listen (and also being a huge Blues Brothers fan) this song sounds like one that the Blues Brothers might've done in concert back in the early 80s. Especially the horn parts at the beginning and the sax solo.
Anyone hear it besides me?

Ha ha - the Blues Brothers couldn't touch something like this they were so full of themselves! I tend to think of this tune more from a Motown point of view.

If you're trying to say the Blues Brothers were no good musically, I think I'll have to laugh at you. Whether you bought into the whole gimmick or not, you won't find many self-respecting musicians that will disagree with the statement that the Blues Brothers band was one of the most talented bands of its era. Paul Shaffer, Steve Cropper, Duck Dunn, Willie Hall, Bones Malone, Lou Marini, Matt Murphy, etc.

Ahhhhh, that's what you meant. I was having a hard time picturing the song actually being sung by the Blues Brothers, hence the full of themselves remark.
