Lame? That sounds like another word for good marketing strategy.backbeat wrote:So, now - after having bought the record (on iTunes), I have to buy the record (on CD). Pretty lame.
I disagree... The audio quality of that CMT stream was horrendous. Even itunes can't compete with cd-quality audio.gingerbreadman wrote:After CMT let everyone "listen" to the entire CD, with no talking over the music, the only reason to buy the CD is for the Here We Are video.

Really? The stuff I listened to said was it coming in at 128K, and it sounded like it - that's way better than RM.com can do. I am just guessing that the iTunes are 128K too.SharkOnLand wrote:I disagree... The audio quality of that CMT stream was horrendous. I'm no audiophile, but I can tell the difference between 128k WMA and a lossless track ripped from a cd. It's a little harder with itunes' 128k AACs, but there is a difference, at least to my ears.gingerbreadman wrote:Really? Don't want to get too far off the topic, but I'm like you in that I too "can tell the difference between 128k WMA and a lossless track ripped from a cd". I guess what I was thinking, but maybe didn't make clear, is that those people that buy iTunes either can't hear that particular difference, or don't care about it.SharkOnLand wrote:I'm no audiophile, but I can tell the difference between 128k WMA and a lossless track ripped from a cd. The video and audio together are very cool, but I, too, would have liked to have an audio "Here We Are" on the CD. A song like this shouldn't risk being lost in the fog...backbeat wrote:I think it should have been a regular song on the CD, myself, even though I've heard that the video and the song together is pretty cool.
I don't have the cd yet (will get on the way home), but I already know that I agree with ya on this... all summer long I've been looking forward to getting a nice clean copy on the new cd.SchoolGirlHeart wrote:The video and audio together are very cool, but I, too, would have liked to have an audio "Here We Are" on the CD. I have to agree with that sentiment as well!SchoolGirlHeart wrote:It seriously bugs me that you have to buy the entire album twice to get both videos. That just bugs the crap out of me.....![]()
I don't mind paying for the PATEOTW video on iTunes. I wouldn't even mind at all paying the standard $1.99 video price (as opposed to songs at $0.99). But to have to buy the whole album? Grrrr.....
I have the same question about the PATEOTW video, for the people who bought the CD...Dezdmona wrote:Ok....now what about the PATEOTW Video for those of us who bought the CD?
Any chance of that being available in the future for pholks who don't buy the entire album.
I don't have a video iPod either. I just watch the few videos I've purchased on my computerLIPH wrote:I don't have a video iPod and with my prehistoric dialup connection I can't even download the upgrade for iTunes so I can't buy anything.
Give me about a half an hour and I will have it on Google Video.SchoolGirlHeart wrote:I have the same question about the PATEOTW video, for the people who bought the CD...Dezdmona wrote:Ok....now what about the PATEOTW Video for those of us who bought the CD?
