Frivolous or Frugal?

Post by buffettbride »

Which one are you?

I'm definitely more frivolous. If I have it, I spend it!

On the other hand, hubby (who, thankfully is in charge of paying our bills) is stingy as can be.

I'm the one that voted BOTH. Sometimes I spend like there's no tomorrow....then tomorrow comes and I realize that shower curtain can last a few more months with a few staples and day out in the rain.

I guess when it comes to my house (rental) and the fact that I live alone, I can stretch a dollar. But if I'm out for fun, and the funds are there, they won't be for long.

My sister thinks I'm so cheap I have the first dollar I ever made. That's not true. I had to buy a wallet.

as my sister says, too poor to do wrong the first time. however, if "fun" is involved then out comes the $$.

Frugal, unless it comes to traveling - I would rather have the memories & experiences of going cool places than brand-new-whatever's-cool-this-year stuff......so I voted BOTH. :D

There is absolutely no point in having money if you're not gonna spend it.

put me down for both. I go in streaks. If I have just picked up 3 pipes in the last month, then I am probably able to resist most opportunities (unless it is a very special pipe and the price is just right). On the other hand, there are times where travelling when I haven't been out of town for a couple months...

Both. I try to be frugal when it comes to regular bills, household items, etc. But you can't take it with you, so when I want something, I usually will get it. I won't spend beyond my means anymore though...

Did you get a 'return' on your investment?
