Leaving in about five hours.
FINALLY got everything done today that I had to before I leave.
I started my "to do" list around 11:00 AM this morning. It's now nearly midnight here.
I swear, in my next life, I just want to be dead.

I'm in Chattanooga now for a few days, and will be in Ashville on the afternoon of the 7th and leave for home on the morning of the 8th.
But we're planning on returning to this area in late April or early May for a week, so, if not now, maybe then.
Thanks for the invitation. Ashville is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.

You gotta go see the Biltmore Estate. Un FREAKIN' believable. I've been about 5 times. They just opened the top floor, new rooms. And eat at the Deerpark Restaurant, the best food I've ever had, and I've had some good food (Casa Grisanti and Kunz's in Louisville, others in Houston, Atlanta, Florida, and there was this one time in New York........) in my life.
Yum now I'm hungry. [smilie=blush.gif]

I've seen the Biltmore, but not since 1993, and only from the grounds outside.
Perhaps now would be a good time to change that.

And I have to go to Louisville for a week (for work) two days after I get home from THIS trip.
I've never been there, but heard lots of nice things about it. A friend of mine works for the Louisville P.D., and insists I'll have a great time.
Hell, they have a HOOTERS there, so it HAS to be nice. 8)

:o
If you like Italian, definitely go to one of the 'Grisanti's' . And drink their house wine. Now I'm hungry again. 8)

And I dated a Louisville policeman once or twice. Can't remember his name but he'd be in his early fifties now. [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

No, I'm going to put you to sleep and SING it-
so turn up your speakers, grab your No-Doz, and picture me on the stage wearing my Tennessee Tuxedo and flip flops, and saying to the world "THIS GOES OUT TO THE LOVELY & GRACIOUS JENNY CREEK DOWN TOOMWOOMBA WAY."

My wife loves Italian food, but it doesn't quite fill me up.
We may end up there-I don't really know right now, but, as is usually the case when she travels with me, we'll no doubt end up eating Italian food SOMEWHERE.

And they say MEN are insensitive.
So, he's actually the same age as me, then? (VERY late 40's).

If you're still in Chattanooga, the aquarium there is really nice--worth a look if you've got some time. We also took a Duck tour through downtown and on the river that was pretty fun.

I'll be here until Tuesday, so I should have plenty of time to do that, plus see other sites too.
I do want to see Lookout Mountain-I've driven by there ga-zillions of times, but never stopped to visit. I kept telling myself "One of these days." Well, "ONE OF THESE DAYS" is here.

Other than that, the only plans I made is to take my step-son to HOOTERS on Friday for his birthday.

OOPS!
I guess I also may want to think about taking my wife somewhere tomorrow evening for our anniversary.

We saw Lookout Mtn when we did the whole Rock City thing. I thought Rock City was a bit cheesy, but the mountain is a great view. Ruby Falls is cool, too, but it feels like you're walking for miles underground before you actually get to it. Not for the clausterphobic. Cool rock formations and stalagmites/tites on the way, though.

My step son is recommending we DON'T go to Rock Falls, and I'm VERY clausterphoboc-so much so that I won't ride the elevators at work-so I may pass on Ruby Falls too.
But I'm DEFINATELY going to Lookout Mountain, even if I have to go alone.
