OK, Kerry personally apologized for what he said. http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/11/01/ ... index.html He didn't send out his spin doctors. He didn't have his press secretary issue an "apologetic statement". He apologized. Will this be accepted? Will this bury the issue? Will this thread cease to exist? We shall see.

I do not know if this applies but a family member sent me this today.

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview.

When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America, he Said:

"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at How many want in... And how many want out. Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
Jesus Christ
The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom."

I'm with you. When your "apology" comes fully spun, and only after you've been called out by people ranging from Tony Snow to Hillary Clinton, it ain't much of an apology.

To the Dems.... PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE nominate this guy again in 2008. It'd save us rightwing nutjobs a ton of $$ on new TV spots. Then we could buy more guns, pickups, and flannel shirts. :D
