Okay, you guys. Let's help out The Wheel! This is from an email I got today. Vote!
The Austin Music Awards are back and we need your help! (you don't even need to be from Austin to vote)
http://www.austinchronicle.com/feedback/musicpoll/06/
Please take a moment and vote for us in the following categories:
Best Country Band
Female Vocals: Elizabeth McQueen
Man Vocals: Ray Benson and Jason Roberts
Electric Guitar: Ray Benson
Acoustic Guitar: Elizabeth McQueen
Bass: David Miller
Drums: David Sanger
Keyboards: John Michael Whitby
Misc Instrument: Eddie Rivers on Steel and Jason Roberts on Fiddle
Songwriter: Ray Benson
Producer: Ray Benson for Reinventing the Wheel
You were very instrumental in helping us win for Best Country Band and Hall of Fame last year. I hope you can help out again.
Remember how GREAT the band was Saturday night. It was the best show I've *ever* seen The Wheel lay down ... and I've been around as long as Big Ray.

Nah they never do.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Oh, yeah, baby. March 18 - Horseshoe Casino - Bossier City, LA.
Be there or be sad!
I think we're going to have a mini-phlocking! Come on down.

Elizabeth sure looked happy in the photo of the two of you. Did ya kiss her or something?
I had to go back to work today. Dadgum it. Work sure gets in the way of planning my trips to see The Wheel.

No, but I did mention that I had tickets for the Willie Nelson/Merle Haggard/Ray Price show at Radio City in March and I'd be seeing her again.

LIPH, Did ya get to go see another one of my favorite Texas boys---Robert Earl Keen?
I know you said you had tickets for that.
REK just took second place to AATW for my favorite shows at Gruene.
This photo was taken at ACL Music Fest with credit to someone??

I was sitting at my desk yesterday afternoon nodding out, I was beat from the weekend. The show was a triple bill and I was fading fast so I didn't think I would last long enough to see REK. When I left the office I just came home and crashed.

Hey, Buddy.
I *meant* to get up and have breakfast with the crew, but I didn't get out to my friends' house until almost 2:30 ... showered and crawled under the covers about 3:00 .... slept until almost noon. My friend and I visited until 2:30 ... then I drove home. It was a beautiful day!
How was your trip to SA?

Oops..... I wanted to have breakfast with the crew but no one told me where everyone was meeting. Even so, I left for San Antonio about 8:40 AM anyway.
